…dog house.
I Recently got a Siberian Husky puppy. She will be spending alot of time out doors, so i decided to build a dog house for her last week while i was off work. i am NO carpenter, and its definately not perfect, I know. But i think it came out pretty darn nice.
overall, the project cost me around $80 for materials, (i had the roofing)… its 4’ wide, by 3’ deep, and around 4’ high. pretty big. it weighs a ton…and now i gotta move it about 100 feet from where it sits lol…I stained it to match my shed and deck, shingles match my shed and house…
looks nice dude.
 to huskies to.
you should lay some of those oak woodchips as a floor, we did that for my dog. apparently its very comfortable, and doesnt need to be washed like a blanket or dog bed.
^^^ I may do that…i havent decided what to put in there yet…maybe i will try it out!
lol…i actually built it big enough for 2 full grown dogs…realistically. I aint never doing that shit again lol. I only do a project like this once a year lol.
I own a siberian husky myself. Be very careful how you rase her because they are very tempermental dogs. Just make sure she knows who the boss is before she gets too big. Also from my experiance my husky likes to crawl into tight spots that are darker then usual. So she may not like the big dog house. Great craftsman ship on the house though.
I started it on my vacation days…i spent most of that working on it…but i would work for an hour, screw off for about 4 hours etc…
as for the tempermental husky…yes, she is VERY tempermental…more mental. Mine i noticed also likes to hide in tight dark places. The main reason i built the dog house, for when she is outside in the kennel, she has a place to get out of the weather (if she chooses…here are a couple pics…
^^^Thats a good idea…though, being 6’5"…i cold actually fit in it if i wanted to LOL…its pretty big…
i still have that option though…all depends on what i use in there for her to lay on…chips or a bed.
