Weed Stocks & Investing Thread (And Cannabis Campus Buffalo)

Aphria is still a good buy IMO, I threw some more money into it today since it’s dipping.

I’m right here

some big moves in the last week.

MMEN has more than doubled. im still down a fair bit but its helping.

VFF, OGI, HVT and CRON also making big moves.

I’m still down overall from where i started in 2016 but 3 more days like today and i’ll be up again

cut the chord on mmen to put in mindmed. what’s causing their turn around?

Thinking about getting back into trulieve

with respect to TRUL i have a hard time putting 4 into companies that are already up 400% in a year but certainly they are a good long term bet

i think what is happening to MMEN and others is that all of the healthier companies have already gone up 200- 400% in a year and the WSB-type money is now moving into the secondaries. MMEN has a brand and a footprint but their fins blow hard.

IAN is the same and its doubling and running more.

i’ve had a few stocks i was down 60-80% on turn to 100% up but still need severla more to bounce back.

Checked trulieve this morning, damn up another 10$ from a month ago. From what I read on reddit, they’re one of the few (if not the only one) that has their shit together.

yes they’re fins are probably the best of any cannabis company in the world right now and they are, as far as i know, still basically a one-state operator (Florida) and also almost entirely medical.

that is the reason for the pump. healthiest fins, huge runway, tons of revenue already

Just saw on WSB guy made half a mil on 20k buying calls on tilray.

I’m really hoping the psychedlic sector takes off like weed in 2016/17

any links to a tutorial on how to do all the options trading?

i’m set up for it but i havent ever done it.

Like on RH or in general? I would only stick to buying puts and calls rather than selling to start.

Use this to practice with fake money

well today is the best day of the year so far for me… only 25 minutes in so it could turn around.

i have a hard time believing these runs can keep up. there has to be a correction of sorts coming… but then again, maaaybe not.

I think about the shares of medmen I gave up on lol

Cannabis technologies was another I had a for a long time, only a couple thousand shares.

I may jump back into a weed position if we have a pull back

I can’t justify buying into these again after they’ve all had 100% runs in a week

true.

there are more speculative ones that havent had the same kind of run yet. TGIF, EAT, GLH on the US side. LHS might be the best of this class though.

on the CDN side XLY hasnt run. WMD, HVT, DN and others are only just starting to run.

I’m actually really surprised DN is still as low as it is given that they are profitable, have always been well-managed by insiders and have 10+ retail stores and a strong third-party pod business.

there’s gotta be a red day coming but then again, most of the daily charts were really strong heading into close and there is a shit ton of hype all over the place right now sooo…

also, its still federally illegal so plenty of catalysts.

alot of the mid-tier players and more speculative stocks are still way off ATH’s.

EAT and HVT crushed it for me today. 104% and 75% up repsectively. I had averaged down on each in the last 2 weeks but both are still waaaay off ATH’s

I would advise to sell at least some to cover cost basis.

Sundial is going to implode

edit - major dip in premarket, @bing, lock in some profits.

cant lock them in… the ones i would lock in on (OGI primarily) are halted from falling so hard so quickly…lol

mind you, they are not all falling since they didnt all run up. just the top 10 ones did.

even still. why not give back 20% when you’re up 200% in 3 weeks?

Medmen got fingered hard today

edit - may open another position in BLOZF again.

Jesus it bled hard yesterday. That was the biggest red dildo I have ever seen in one day.

Building a position back up in Cannabix Tech for the breathalyzer.
