So I guess I’m a little late actually jumping in on this thing…
But I guess everyone gets to their breaking point, and I happened to reach it this weekend I guess.
Not that I got any fatter or anything significant has happened, I just got sick of the extra weight.
My goal is to fit into my pants from 10th grade.
There. I have my goal set. And I am taking action.
Went out and spent about $150 on healthy food last night.
Got a food journal and I’ve been tracking EVERYTHING I eat.
I’ve managed to get my mom in on the Diet Nazi craze.
Starting today three times a week we are going for an hour walk.
If she’s not down for a walk I’m going for a bike ride on my own.
So we’ll see… baby steps. I’m going to track my weight loss weekly.
No I won’t give you a number in pounds, but I’ll tell you how much I lost.
Anyone else care to join me? ;D
I’m gettin fat
I am too…gonna start running.
I’m 6’4" 180-185, I just gotta hit the gym a more often to bulk up a little. I went from a 36 waist down to a 32 now when I was sick a few months ago and have kept the weight off. Lost about 20-30 lbs in a month, it was pretty crazy.
I have to keep getting 36 sized shorts and stuff though, or else they’ll be 6" above my knees :lol.
yeah you are! im kicking your ass into shape if you would just stop making excuses everytime i ask you to run with me.
:nuts
:lol
walking is for geriatrics… you are young, go running!
:runaway
I have the knees of a geriatric. :sad
This is a very good method. If you’re tracking what you’re eating, you’re less likely to put unhealthy food into your body.
For the past month, I cut out all soda, drink about a gallon of water a day at work, cut out all snacking and just eat a dry bagel for breakfast, usually a salad or a small wrap with no dressing for lunch. Exept on Wednesdays where I have a Turkey Lettuce Tomato Onion swiss and mustard sub for lunch. In the evening I have a typical home cooked dinner. I also mountain bike in the Pine Bush 3 times a week for about 60-90 min. Then one day a weekend spend the whole day Mountain biking at Hunter mountain. I dont keep track of my weight but even after only a month I definitely feel healthier.
yea. he sucks.
i have a metal leg… get out there and run.
if it hurts, its good for you !
Builds character, eh? :lol
I really need to cut out the shit lunches and Id probably be ok. I keep getting a bag of chips, a brick of cheese and a bag of candy and eating them in the truck while Im working.
I go to the gym three days a week and go for atleast a half hour walk every night that its not raining.
I need to ride my bike more but the weather never cooperates when Ive got time. I cant run without hurting my shins. I guess I run flat footed or something.
O_O
Chips. Cheese. Candy.
Paul. :wtf
:lol
Yeah, sure is healthy, isnt it?
The gallon of water is about the only good thing I have at work. I dont drink soda- I quit drinking it 2 years ago.
Glad to hear more of you are getting into it :thumb
Well for a little update:
Averaging about 157 now, still on a decent diet, but haven’t been able to run because the ankle still isn’t right from the accident. Sort of been slacking on the water intake as well, but getting back into the past trends.
Planing to hit ~150, which is low for my frame and then start the buildup from that.
Just remember
You can’t lose pure fat, you will lose some muscle mass with it.
You can’t build pure muscle, you will gain some fat with it.
Good luck!
i dont have any fat, but i have some goals, to stop being a lazy asshole and get back into working out because i noticed im not 150 anymore, im like 140 ish… and loosing wieght when you dont have any fat in the first place, is highly depressing
