welded diff

i have an open diff and im thinking about welding it goods and bads?

tire hop on tight turns going slow, and wearing out tires faster.
the goods is its fucking gangster, and its a 2-way diff for 98% cheaper

How about winter? is it safe?

only good thing about it is u save 1000$ and it is locked up fully…

the bad, if it was so great, then companies wouldnt be needing to spend so much money in research and developement of different 2way designs and selling them for 800-1300$ for our cars. those companies should have saved their money and just all become welders.

Im not sure about safe.

but you dont get stuck, even with near-bald all-seasons & going uphills and dips in parking lots… just give’er & make sure your motor/tranny/clutch is readdy to take a beating , ( without winter tires )

if you buy new winters for your car , its fine in the winter.

Buy a volvo, if you’re worried about winter.

Wanna buy me one?

just weld it. its not that bad. if u can deal with tire hop that would probably make close to the same noise as locking and unlocking 2-ways then just do it. and as for the winter…its winter safe and it makes driving in the winter way more fun

don’t do it if your not a good driver. you will need to know how to keep the car from spinning out in the snow.
If you know how to do that then its really fun.

welded is the only way to go, screw LSD
