the steak eating is def. not the problem. It’s the fruit, mac and cheese ,corn,bread,potatoes,pizza,milk, and ice tea that i have the problem with.

Just use splenda. Trust me I hate artifical sugars and shit like equal and sweet and low. but this splenda shit kicks ass and you can’t tell the difference except for the weight of the splenda container.

yeah i heard i can use splenda but it was only like 3 packets a day. not quite enough for my tea cravings.I could drink a gallon+ aday.

There is no calieries in splenda or carbs. it has a big fat “0” in all categories.

You can use it all day long. Me and the wife changed to a low carb diet about 12 days ago and that was one of my biggest weaknesses. I drink tea like its going out of style.

Just get lipton tea bags and freahs brew a pitcher unsweatened. Then you can sweaten it as needed.

I have never heard of a limit on that especially since it has Nothing in it. It also dissolves 1000x better than regular sugar so you don’t have all the undissolved crystals sitting at the bottom. As soon as it hits the tea it dissolves to looking like the thin head on a beer. Mix it and its gone.

Oh yeah and its funny the 5lb bag actually doesn’t weigh 5 pounds. But when you read on the side of it the bag is equal to 5lbs of sugar. and its filled that just how light it is. Its pretty fucked up.

I need to go in the opposite direction and try to gain weight. I have been stuck at 180 for a while now. I try to lift 2 days a week for like 2 hours each session. I just get stronger but not bigger. I try to eat a lot but I am so busy and never get to. I tries to gain weight once …ate all the time took the weight gainer and I only gained like 5-10 pounds in like 3-4 months. It was too damn expensive with all that eating.

I saw a few people are buying supplements online…I buy creatine off of www.dpsnutrition.com it is pretty cheap. I get the creatine serum which is $45at GNC and it is $23 on that website.

I got a couple low carb cook books at home if you want me or my wife to send you the titles they are actually pretty good. Like I said I have lost 11-12 lbs in about 2 days. I;m not tired and run down like I was when I tried the adtkins either.

yes. Hell people don’t even realize that with any “recommended daily water intake” deal. Docs will even tell you that. The problem is when people drink regular sodas and shit they are also getting all the sugar, and other shit and thats the part thats not healthy.

Only time you have to watch is when you doing a lot of physical activity becuas ethe caffine is a diuretic and makes you piss. so if you are out doing physical labor and shit and all your drinking is tea you “could” become dehydrated. So you should drink more water in those situations. But basically any food, or drink that has water in it counts towarss your daily recommended intake of water. Just because the water has something in it doesn;t mean its not water anymore. :smiley:

Oh and when I’m working I bing a 32 OZ glass with me and probably fill it up 3- 7 times a shift with water depending on how long I’m at work and such. so thats between 96oz (12 cups) and 224oz (28 cups) of water in one shift at work :smiley:

8 cups of water isn;t very much. its only 64oz and think about that thats 2 big gulps from the quickie mart :smiley:

According to the Atkins website… 3 packets of Splenda per day.
As far as Tea goes… It must be caffeine free. The reason for caffeine free is dehydartion and it does something to your blood sugar levels.

Caffine does nothing with your blood sugar levels. It only acts as a Diuretic (makes you piss) and if you don’t drink enough fluids you have a possibility of deydration as I stated earlier. As for the 3 packets of splenda I have no idea why on adkins it says that. Especially since Splenda is recommended for Diabetics. They are the ones who have to watch their sugar levels like a hawk.

Anyways like I stated to euro earlier I would start with the Low Carb (south beach) what ever you want to call it. This way you don’t loose all your energy. I started it on the 25th of july and I’m now down to 284 from 300. So somthing must be working.
