What car should I buy?!?!?

4024lbs.
From wikipedia…
The RS6 was only available with Audi’s Torsen-based quattro permanent four-wheel drive, utilising the Torsen T-2 dynamic ‘automatic torque biasing’ (ATB) centre differential (diff), a modified unit which was being used in the 6.0 litre W12-powered Audi D2 A8. The torque from the engine is first routed from the gearbox output shaft to the Torsen centre diff, and then automatically divided and apportioned between the front and rear axles.

The front and rear axle differentials (ratio: 3.197) are a conventional “open” type, but utilise an “Electronic Differential Lock” (EDL). EDL is an integrated additional function of the Bosch Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) system, and works by monitoring and comparing the individual roadwheel speeds across an axle, and braking an individual wheel which is sensed to have lost traction (spinning), thus transferring torque across the axle to the wheel/tyre which does have grip. “Anti-Slip Regulation” (ASR), more commonly known as traction control system[4] completes the Bosch ESP-related driver aids.

lol i know how the torsen quattro system works i was just asking if it was 50/50 or rwd bias like the newer s models…

Its old enough I ASSuME its the older 50/50 variant. The 60/40 wasn’t in the S cars until '06.5

and fucking  @ the S60R comments

It is 50:50 but it has “the Torsen T-2 dynamic ‘automatic torque biasing’ (ATB) centre differential (diff), a modified unit which was being used in the 6.0 litre W12-powered Audi D2 A8.”
I don’t think this is the standard quattro system used in all Audis of that vintage but I may be wrong.

Crap I just lost a long post I typed! WTF?

Cliff notes: Spent 2 hours at DMV yesterday! Tire exploded today. Interesting first day driving car. lol

So, when are you stopping by?

As soon as I can. I literally have driven it for only 40 minutes. lol My dad has driven it for 7 hours already.lol

I just sent a text to the previous owner and said he had just replaced that tire. I will have to check for rubbing, etc. :gotme:

This tire has zero sidewall, this should be fun changing. :frowning:

Take it to swerve!

where are the pics?

any first impressions?

No pictures yet, I work during day light hours. Maybe this weekend if the weather is OK.
The car is definately “world class” if I may use that term, manly power with great ride quality, etc. The stock wheels are on now and the car will be a bit higher very soon so I won’t have to baby it so much on these horrendous roads. I have basically only driven it to work and back which makes it hard to find more than a hundred feet of smooth road. Currently trying to figure out the meth injection, it seems to kick in when it feels like it. One pull snaps your neck and the next pull is just very fast. lol

I remember racing one against my stock evo in like 2004. The thing pulled on my like a was a stock scion.

I think my Evo was 315 ft-lbs after spending much money. This car was less than the Evo sticker and has more than double the torque. Oh and Cruise control. lol

blow something up and you’re spend what you can buy an evo for now to fix it

lack of cruise control was one of my biggest complaints on the evo… I live on cruise control since it’s the only way I avoid driving too fast.

Truth. :frowning:

Since I had to go back 413 posts to figure out wtf you bought, congrats on your RS6, now post more pics

Thanks.
There are a couple of pictures on here. (Post 153 and 168) I am no Ansel Adams (or whatever) so don’t expect much.

Here is a nice little factoid…
“Audi’s UK engineering arm Cosworth Technology added a pair of KKK turbochargers plus intercoolers and therefore easily boost max power to 450hp.”

i should hope a v8 with 2 turbos can achive 450hp “easily”

lol

We still need to see what a certain gray flat 6 with twin turbos does on mike’s dyno…

X…

I am curious also…
