What car should I buy?!?!?

It should easily put down 450hp. I mean it is not like it is 2003 any longer.

he only had one dyno day that i knew about last year and i had to work…maybe i can get it on there this year

so sick, love these cars so much!!! Wanna run a 2.8 a6 avant, i didnt think so

I can’t believe this plate is available! LMAO!!! Seriously, I may just get it!

yah, dooo eet.

I just got home from a 1000 mile round trip through the rust belt looking for a daily/winter car. The trip started yesturday to Ohio and continued across PA.
One important thing I learned is that excellent condition can mean any of these things…

Shot power steering pump
Doors that don’t close quite right
Bubbling paint on the roof
pulsating brakes
patched leather seats
Milky spotted gage clusters
Cars not at the dealer because they are at a body shop
Cars not at the dealer because a salesman wanted to take it for the weekend
Cars that have not even arrived yet but pictures are already posted on autotrader.
Missing cup holders
Cars that can’t be test driven because the air shocks are unsafe.
Scrapes/dents on every piece of sheet metal.
A car that has been listed for 3 months that sold less than 24 hours before I arrived. (Just bad luck on that one. DAMMIT!)
etc, etc
The kicker is that Ideally I wanted a silver, stick, wagon/suv but the best car I saw was a dark colored, auto, sedan. lol It was by far the best deal, and in the best shape by far so I am thinking about it.

End of rant… for now.

I want my ALLROAD back!!!

Wait… I’m confused. You bought an RS6 and you ARE NOT going to drive it year round?

+1

I thought that would be the ideal DD/Winter car…

I’m going to have a gorgeous dark blue '04 tiptronic for sale in a few months. Customer is here on visa from Denmark, and just bought this car to use for a cross-country trip. I inspected it a week ago, and it’s truly stunning.

However, it’s going to be in the $10k range.

Gonna have a B5 tip a4 thats in pretty decent shape up for sale shortly that I could probably make a deal with you on price.

It will be on the road but, I am trying to preserve the car a bit. I am sure it will be a beast in the snow.

2004 ,is that the V8?

Meh, I really don’t think an A4 is going to have enough power. I am really on a power kick lately. I have been looking at V8s even though gas prices are getting silly.

turbo

there is a all-road at that ONLINE store on lein road that is moving to transit road in west seneca

I will keep any eye out for anything decent, I am guessing Allroad or S4 wagon? What else fits your criteria?

It looks like I am buying a car in PA. The dealer told me I don’t get the title. I told him I did last time I purchased a car in PA a few years ago and he explained that a dealer has to give temp tags and send the title to the DMV. Does this sound Kosher? Why does PA DMV have to get involved if the car is going to NY?

is he saying that the PA dealer is going to send a title to the NY DMV? that doesn’t sound right

He said the PA DMV would mail it to me within 30 days so I could go to the NY DMV… Still doesn’t sound right to me.

its right. i just picked up my a4 from philly and this exact process occurred.

Awesome, thanks.

I am done buying… for now.

Pictured is my new, daily 2001 A6 4.2 with 63000 miles next to the RS6. It is crazy clean with just minor ā€œscuffsā€ here and there.
