I never really see a problem with traveling to pickup a car. It is a little bit of a gamble, but considering the “Rust free” factor, it is totaly worth it. Also if I can find the same car for more than a thousand less, it’s worth the driving or flying back and forth.

B5 RS4 = awesome
B7 RS4 = heavy underperformer. I challenge you to find me one with over 40k miles on it, that hasn’t gone through a carbon cleaning (that they all need) that is making more than 275whp. And other than a VERY few examples, I’ve seen $12k dumped into these things on mods, including blowers, and they’re still mid-12 cars.

Blown RS4’s running mid-12’s just need a driver mod, they don’t realize they should dump the clutch at redline. If you can afford that car and a supercharger you should be able to afford to fix it because you were driving it the way it should be driven.

VF superchargers look like a good option for V8 S4’s.

E39 M, Headers+Straight pipes. Do it. MPD will prob give more insight on the exhaust setup on this car. Im assuming its just longtubes, catless X and straight pipes.

Car is stock headers, stock Y pipe with stock cats. Everything else is deleted though (all four mufflers and the resonators). It’s actually really civil inside the car, no real drone to speak of. Where did you find that? lol, I’m driving not PK, with 4 passengers.

Personally Mike, I’d go RS6 if I were you.

Getting an SUV is just so lame. Don’t get me wrong, cool ones exist. Just wait until it’s summer and you get the urge to toss that giant X5 around a few corners…Then you realize you’re driving an SUV and no matter how sporty they TRIED to make it, it’s still just a huge tall car.

If I were you, I would go with the 2 car solution, even though it’s not optimal. You can get a pretty decent and SUV that will will be comfortable and reliable, then something awesome for all of the fair weather driving you can handle.

I just can’t think of any car that I would want that could handle really bad winters as well as sporty summer driving, all the while hauling the family around.
