Got ya. I would go test drive a bunch of shit! I loved my E46 but it’s kind of dated now IMO and the new M3s are a little more then 35K last I checked…
The newer M3s are the first thing I checked pricing on.
I may drive an X5 with the V8, they can be had for less than $40000.

obviously after heavy negotiations on price.
Drool.
Nothing like 420 horsepower and 14 mpg for 50k…
What is fuel economy supposed to be on a 400+hp AWD V8? 13 city and 20 hwy seems pretty reasonable
Who gives a fuck about MPG. If you can afford the car you can afford the gas. Any decent sized and optioned SUV or car is probably close to 50k anyway. That green Audi is fucking sweet!
I’m just saying. 50k for something that is slower than some suv’s is not something I’d consider buying. 420 horse is hardly anything these days, especially not in that boat of a car.
Just because you can afford the car doesn’t mean gas mileage isn’t an important factor. No one complains about having too much gas efficiency.
That is why I am buying a Civic turbo y0!
who cares what he buys? he wont even be able to post up pictures because he doesnt know how!
I haven’t driving one, but I’ve read plenty of reviews and have driven an S4 of the same gen. These cars are meant to be a blast to drive Think of the E39 M5, most people who have driven one love the overall package and how nimble it is and don’t complain about the power. To try and compare it to an SUV by the numbers is meaningless.
I am not a fan of audi rs or s series cars. I do not see the value for the price premium. Thats all I’m saying.
if you ever got into track days you’d understand. power is nothing without control – just ask some of the rulers in the middle east right now LOL.
imho the e55 is a shit chassis with a lot of power, something undesirable to me. (I love e55s, just using as an example)
Also Sobo lets not forget age of vehicle when talking prices here. Not everyone wants an older car and although many on here forget this but a 08+ is more of a premium then the cooler version of an 02-03.
Ha!
Yea, you would understand the horrible understeer that plagues the b6/b7 s4 chassis.
The RS4 throws more powa to the rear. Noice.
It is funny how most of the time when you see a super nice house it has average cars.
I’d probably buy a Silverado SS or a 6.2L 1500 for the winter and to have a truck and something fun for the summer. You can still drive a RWD car in the winter as long as there isn’t 6" of snow. If you need a family car a 6 speed M5 is hard to beat. Though CTS-V wagon would be super cool.
The Audi/MB while baller seems to be a waste of money to me. They don’t really do anything well… expensive, high cost to maintain, not that fast etc etc. Would I like one? Probably. Would I keep it for long? Probably not.
What are the requirements as far as seating? You could get a Trailblazer SS/Saab 97x areo to carry the family in and drive in deep snow then get something fun to blast around it.
Also you say you need 300hp but is weight a concern? Also what do you consider fast? 12s 1/4 or twisties at 70?
