Took my wife’s winter wheels and tires OFF and put the all seasons back on. She saw a block of ice on the highway and “thought it would smush.”
I told her to pull over and look to see if her tires were flat. She said no but her hubcab looked bent. I informed her that she doesn’t have hubcaps.
Both wheels smushed instead. Somehow the front still holds air even though the lip is bent so bad you can see the bead. The back one was flat as a pancake. It didn’t go flat right away (I hope.) She called me later in the day and said someone motioned for her to roll down her window and they told her her tire was totally flat. Me - “Where are you now?” Her - “Driving.”
Jesus H Christ I have a bruise on my forehead from all the face palming today.
Wrenching on my dirtbike then going riding at a buddy’s track in sanborn, yes riding in January in buffalo. Unheard of, but I’m happy that it’s like this!!

Im almost done relocating the battery to my trunk. already routed the 2 gauge through the passenger side of the car.
from engine bay >>behind the fuse box>>passenger side headlight harness porthole>>ran it along the passener side fender then stuffed it through the gromet for the door harness>> ran it along the floor underneath the carpet>>routed it through a space thats running along the quarter fender to the trunk.
There is a reason its so hard to find used tls, people buy them, and never Fucking sell them, just drive them forever. My friends mom has a 2000 tl type s fully loaded with around 280,000 on it… I asked her nicely to sell it to me if she ever wanted to get rid of it and she lol’d in my face
Found out the PO of my car used the wrong mini fuse for the headlights and that’s why the plug decided to eat itself. Junkyard plugs + new fuses + 15 mins to cut and solder new wires = working headlights again.
I hate this car, but love it’s DGAF status in my mind.
God, GM products are poorly designed, cheap pieces of shit.
Fuck all of you that dislike that comment.
Replaced the blower motor in my mothers Crapalier, as well as found out her wire harness self destructed and fused together, hence the gauge cluster being fffffuuuuuuuuu, and for good measure I replaced the spark plugs/did an oil change.
Fixed a belt squeak that was slowly driving me insane. I was sure based on the noise it was a bearing on a pulley but turned out to be a $14 A/C belt.
Did both outer tie rods over the weekend on the GTO. Pretty sure that lapping day at Nelson Ledges had something to do with them failing. Aligned perfect for free with my lifetime Firestone alignment. to who ever recommended them (Jeller or Xander I think).
