no, blueeyeddevil bought it from me.
Hell, i’d be impressed if he could backpack from Joburg to Cape Town intact.
I would try to make it to the southern tip of South America and back. probably down the west coast and up the east coast (or down the west coast and back up through Paraguay and Brazil). I’m curious how interesting it is once you get down to the southern part of Chile. I’m not sure if I would actually be able to make it all the way down, but it would be interesting to say the least.
Yep. If you walk past a shanty town at night and are white (or otherwise obviously a tourist) you’ll have a nasty case of the dead by the morning. We drove past a huge one in Namibia twice a day on our way to the plant the week I worked there. Crazy stuff. Thousands of people living in tin huts, ocean containers, etc. Makes me want to choke anyone in America who bitches about their life.
There’s an idea. Drive the Pan American Highway.
yeah i think it would depend on a few things, like risks your looking to take. Europe could be done pretty safely with the euro pass and just knowing what countries/areas to stay out of. going to south america would be awesome but i think it would be a much harder time if english was your only language. staying in the states would be the safest and easiest but probably the least interesting (imo)
idk when or where but i plan on doing something like this at some point in the next like 5 yrs of my life but for a shorter amount of time
I feel the same way about doing something like this…but I already have a ‘real job’
$5000 isn’t much for 6 months, I would lean towards something like lafengas posted but maybe add in an extended stay somewhere I liked a lot. Like spend a month in some western state skiing.
I’d like to get out there still and ski bum for at least a winter.
Some sort of road trip seems in order, whether by car, bike or on another continent.
xbox. lots and lots of xbox. and sleep more than any human should. and go somewhat crazy from sheer boredom. thats been my life for the past 4 months.
Oh and beat your cock like you caught it breaking into your house.
Go to Thailand for a few months. It’s cheap and tons of things to do.
this is the sort of response I would expect from you.
i would go back to where i lived in seattle and see it as im a little bit older. Then i would go to cali for a little while, and then go visit my great grandpa in vegas. Then i would blow it all on cheap whores, std meds, and id fuck a gilf. While staying completely drunk.
Vegas and try to win money for as long as it holds out.
Seriously, 5k isn’t a whole lot to do anything with. My brother did the drive the USA and that trip was nearly 9k. And he had places to stay around the country for free, is about 135 lbs soaking wet, so he didn’t eat all that much. Backpacking through Europe might not be a bad try but once again, you won’t be eating everyday unless you steal shit & sleep on benches.
I’d save up more money (Like 15k) then look to do this adventure.
The logical thing would be to roll it up into some type of investment account then work the 6 months somewhere else and save even more money.
If I had 6 months free I’d probably flip a house.
it seems its more about the experience to the OP than the money…
you are completely missing the point. The purpose is to have some adventure and not waist the time working and fretting over money.
Money, money, money, its such a stupid obsession and I am sick of it. I want to just have fun fora while before I spend the rest of my life strapped to a desk 9-5 and then a home the remainder of the day. I dont gives shit about money right now. It took me finally having money to realize I dong care about it. My bank account grows and I can’t even think of anything useful to spend it on.
Uhhhh :cky:
geez i was just joking. I have been doing a lot of hkking and small game hunting and whatnot. I actually dont watch much tv or anything.
No way you can stretch 5k out for a year in some countries and live like a king
alaska fishing trip for sure get flown in and live in a cabin
