Well, since everyone and there grandmother has a carbon fiber hood i was thinking about doing something a bit different. I saw a car with a white carbon hood in this magazine, it looked like shit but it was a red car. I went searching and couldnt find white but i found a light silver, so i was wondering what you guys think of a white car with a carbon hood like this colour
when its done it would look like this i guess, except, white not yellow, and not an s2000 lol
I think it would actually look ok but you’d have to add a little silver on the car to complement the hood. Now I’m not saying rice the car out no, but more of accenting so the hood goes with the white car. Of course this is just my opinion and I’m a believer in, “if you like it get it as it’s your car”
Actually it’s carbon kevlar. Strands of carbon weaved with strands of kevlar.
Carbon “fibre” is actually strands of carbon weaved with strands of glass.
Bullet proof vests use a combination of nylon and kevlar.
In these dyed instances, they can’t actually colour the carbon, so whatever it’s mixed with is what receives the dye. Often times, they’ll add a tint to the resin and/or clearcoat as well, for a better colouration.
White CF is uber-pimp, I almost bought a laptop just b/c it was finished in white CF. Unfortunately they had all sold out of the white models and only had the black ones left. The thing was still gorgeous in black, but it didn’t quite have the same effect as the white. It’s the Asus S5N and they don’t sell them anymore unfortunately
Seen it, there’s a Civic hatch that gets the audio installs done at a local car audio store (selective sound), he has it, it LOOKS allright, at least its different.
