Whats the differences? v.clutchs

A lot depends on the rest of what you have. How heavy the flywheel is, how strong the PP is, what the clutch friction surface is made of. By it’s nature the unsprung clutch will feel like it’s grabbing more. You’ll also have more road feel too. There won’t be as much dampening at speed either.

On my one car the flywheel is 7lbs and I have the Sach’s MFX-200 twin disk setup. It’s very grabby, there’s no slipping it whatsoever. It’s either on or off. Driving it takes some technique.

On the other car I have a heavier flywheel and heavier midplate in the clutch pack(same clutch) and it’s a lot more forgiving.

Both hold quite well.

If you’re doing a lot of city driving my suggestion would be to remain srung. If it’s a purpose built car then the choice is yours.
