wheel hop

well if everything else is solid the only thing i want to flex is the sidewall so… its obviously something that affect up/down motion eitehr shitty lower control arm setup or struts. can mcpherson struts be modified or anything to make them stronger?

how are your struts?

tires actually have quite an impact on wheel hop man. the softer the side wall, and less air the tires have in them, will allow the tires to flex and absorb most of the initial shock of the drive train. (in a nutshell)

yup my car wheel hopped like crazy with these weird as road racin slicks i had on it, then put my street tires back on and it never wheel hopped again

thats what i was thinking ^ . i think the struts are as good as they’re supposed to be , car is pretty hard to push down.

these seem like they would be perfect

yeah, there are a myriad of things you can adjust, tweak, or replace, but the tires tend to be the easiest and the simplest thing to change first. my car hops sometimes still, mostly in the rain and when i downshift at high speeds, but tires and a solid axle are my fix. ive done bushings, sub frame connectors, springs, and struts. all of which have helped, but never really getting rid of it 100%. it sucks. thats why i could never leave off a 2 step or in boost at the track. wheel hop breaks shit lol. good luck GP

thanks ! i will need it.
