Which Chevy dealership to go to for getting key cut from vin?

Long story short I misplaced the key for the vette. I have two uncut spares I procrastinated on getting cut.
I live out in Amherst and am wondering where I should go for the least amount of hassle?

Basil. duh.

I know and will end up there. I just don’t want to walk in as Joe nobody with his own key to get cut.

immobilizer too?

Quality VATS key. GM had better stock security in the cavalier those years.

Great service as always at Basil. to that. Everyone was super nice.

But LMAO at the $20 fee to “pay for the code from GM” Subaru and Honda both never invented a fee for a vin cut key.

^ glad they did a good job for you. David Basil is on here he is a used car manager at the chevy store or myself Chuck Basil I can help out with any ford problems. Anyone feel free to pm

I thought about tossing you a message but this was NBD.

I don’t think I stressed enough how nice and helpful everyone was. Usually when you walk in a dealership and ask for the Parts dept everyone just looks at you funny and points. I had a really enthusiastic younger guy walk be right over there and was helped immediately. Wile waiting for the cut I was asked a couple times if I needed help with anything.

my buddy just spent 270 from basil to do 2 keys for his g6, he was fucking pist

Yeah, dealership cost on my keys was like 76 each. It’s a simple key with a certain resistor. Thankfully I ordered mine a while back for 15 a piece.
But a G6 with the newer chipped keys I ca see them being pricey.
