They keep figuring out way to make work for everyone here. It almost seems ridiculously unproductive and unprofitable for the company but they say they have never had layoffs and are not going to but the hours have gotten shorter every week I have been there.
So I feel about 75% secure in my job.
Laid off in December (derrick), waiting to hear from unemployment to see if my magic getting paid to go to school money came through. Also getting GI Bill, and took out fed loans…(banking it), so hooray for social safety net. With my new free time I joined ECC’s track team.

does anyone know how i can actually get ahold of a humans voice on the phone to fix my unemployment?? ive faxed paper work over to them and they havent fixed my unemployment and everytime i call the phone i get that damn robot voice or it hangs up on me
Ya same thing happened to me. When you call push the button for filing a claim and you should get a representative. Just tell them your situation.
i was laid off on dec 5th but will start back on monday
close, I went for 60 hours a week to 30. yet the hired a new guy.
I work at bucks motorsports.
It the in between season. no snow for sleds to cold for bikes.

got word now that AAA is now starting to lay people off. nothing outrageous but i think it was 15 people at the amherst location.
i got a day cut out of my schedule bc business is so slow 
no more delivering on wednesdays

My NEW (shitty) job cut my hours in half, and my brother was laid off from Penn Detroit Diesel Allison (diesel mechanic/part counter).
I’ve been cut to 4 days/week with unemployment picking up the rest
My old company is down from 52 people in their Dallas office to 8

They laid off 12 people here in Finance yesterday
The rest of us have to train 30 Indians to replace them starting May 18th. 
So not only do we all have more work to do, but we’ll have to re-do all of the shit that they screw up.
