Winter Rims - Size Benefits

So I’m looking for a set of winter rims. At first I wanted 18" Winters but considering what I’ve been told, I’m leaning towards 17" for winter tires.

I already know that the skinnier tire is usually better for snow traction, but I also heard that sidewall helps in the equation. What do you guys think? The taller sidewall is better for winter tires? How so? What benefit does it provide to have a taller sidewall for the snow? Do you think the weight of the rim and the lower rotational mass be any benefit?

^^^ he’s right
don’t go tooo much narrower or you’ll regret it
whatever your used to -20 or so
when your talking little cars with low final drives this makes sense
small cars with high final drives will spin no matter what…

if you are set up for summer drift…give up and get a honda…dont wash it or it’ll be back next year…

seriously get a cheapie and spend the $50/month on storage…

good god i’d never drive the dodge in the winter…its almost impossible!!
your #'s are similar to my dodge…have fun driving all the way to work at a45 degree angle…

get a $500 car and we’ll set it on fire for the year/season opener!!!
