Worst "performance" cars

^that.

I loved mine when I had it. Fun on the autocross course, handled well, braked hard, made some OK noises when secondaries hit. That car would have sucked without the HLSD

I guess its awesome for the nostalgia factor for guys my dad’s age. From a performance factor its an anemic N/A 4.6 with a shaker hood scoop. For a little more, one could have gotten a Cobra.

Have either the LS humpers driven a Mach 1? Yeah its not a Cobra but it was awesome to drive. Figured LZ would have something useful to add considering his vast experience with siqq cars…

It’s not a sweet car feel free to keep arguing about it.

The new 5.0 coyote motor is what the 4.6 should have been for the past 10+ years

the Mach 1 is stupid because the regular GT was good. The value add made it horrible.

You must of gotten a lemon, for 19k, those cars were lightening

I side with Joe, i hate the mr2 spyder styling, but light weight, fantastic suspension, and a reasonable amount of power from a little na 1.8l made them fun cars to toss around. They werent made to be straight line cars, they were intended to compete directly with the miata. If they tried to market them as a muscle car cough c3c4camaro74-10mustang.etccoughcough* then the arguement would be valid.

Just DON’T get it with the six speed sequential auto…

Hyundai Tiburon

Ford escort gt

Still an escort

The new Dodge Dart isn’t meant to be a performance car. It actually handles brilliantly for a everyday car.

The Hyundai Veloster is a mess of a “sporty” vehicle. Numb steering and weird suspension tuning (like every Hyundai product, actually). I don’t really know why people buy these.

Mine was reliable, quick, comfortable and actually not that bad.

How come no one has mentioned this yet

wanna run me in your wrx then? lol

but yes the 2.4 SS is terribly slow from the factory

because i would still gladly drive one

that shit is trill

80’s mustangs. Yuck. You had a choice of a 4 cylinder with 88 hp or a V8 with 120 :wtf:

What are we considering “performance”?
Wouldn’t it be all relative to the times that some of these cars came out, what was available, how they handled and looked?

Although, many of the cars on the list, I can’t make an argument for, but the MR2, EM1 Civic Si, and Sentra Spec V, maybe shouldn’t considered “poor”.

The new coyote motor blows the 4.6 out of the water. That said, I stand by my old ride.

Sure lol do you have that siqqqqqqq after market yo

Ill agree that the SRT4 was a performance car for its price point and “segment”. It was much faster than the other cars in its class and had the available mopar upgrades that made it quite respectable. I never thought of it as a sports car either. It had 4 doors.

X…
