I’m sure if Peter or his bro, or Pratte new it was going to be an issue they would have done it differently. Fact is, the rule exists to prevent risk of fraud… since it’s obviously not a fraudulent post there is no need to apply the rule.
I think you’re forgetting that we made the rules… it’s not like the police or the provincial government have jurisdiction here. The buck stops well before that.
Moreover, on any other forum this wouldnt get this far… you would have been silenced, everything would have been removed and there would be no evidence that it ever happened…
The fact that i only moderated the posts (they are all still there and i really thought the moderated thread was still viewable) and am amusing myself with this back and forth banter is probably the reason why SON has continued to grow to its biggest and busiest ever… as it is right now… becuase this only happens over trivial shit and only once a year or so… there are no fundamentally totalitarian agendas going on here as has been the case on other major forums run by inexperienced idealists with no real careers or education.

the guys selling the wheels is Peter Tarach (or his brother) of Modified Mag on behalf of David Pratte, also of Modified… who are pretty well known dudes with nothing shady going on. hence the removal of Ant’s post… quietly… but Antonio will not go quietly into the night… ATTICA ATTICA!!!
btw… if it were not-so-well known dudes who made that original thread and Ant had of posted that then his post would have stood and the thread would have been moderated… i guess that is paritally what this is about. because it is true that, in general, we do not allow people to sell items by proxy.

If what Bing said is true then I have to side with Bing on this one. Peter is indeed a stand up guy and a well known member on this forum. I’m sure if anything went wrong with the sale, you could go to Peter and he’d talk to you. He wouldn’t just disappear.
The main issue is that a lot of unknown guys come here and try to sell cars on “someone else’s behalf” and when the buyer ends up getting scammed, the unknown guy disappears and claims no responsibility.

you can stop talking now. you havnt been here from back in the day with the OGs i joined few years later and they where strict on the rules wiether it be friends or not. This happened when someone brought up how briggs has his own section for no reason, and whend questioned admins deleted post and banned him. Thats why i joined candrift hopfully they will stops this and be honest like they expect everyone else to be.
