so today here i am driving to the bank because i got off work early…im in the city and people are riding my ass and im doing 60km’s in a 50 zone while people are still getting impatient…well what happens, a cop pulls me over and charges me for 61 in a 50…wtf this is the gayest sumbest ticket ive ever heard of and or seen…like 11 over no points no nothing just a 75 dollar ticket…

hey, well its not a “bullshit” ticket… and you were infact speeding and you said so yourself hehe… just depends on the cop that stops you, either a warning or a ticket… personaly id rather just pay that then lose a day off work to go to court and get it erased or end up losing and paying… i lose more in a day of work then paying that ticket haha…

couple of days ago i got a ticket for my exhaust. cop just stood beside the car and asked me to rev, which i did at around 2300rpm. gave me a ticket which i don’t plan on paying. also asked me to pop the hood which i don’t think he has the jurisdiction to do, but i cooperated to avoid hassles. if you were following the speed of traffic, you shouldn’t have been issued a ticket.
ya but the other problem is that even that little ticket with no points can up your insurance for 3 years

Well i got a $330 speeding ticket and 4 pionts off my licence, and my insurance do not go up.
If ur goona speed wether or not everyone else is speeding or doing the limit…just be following someone. U cant say well he was goin faster. THis kid shoplifted so i grabbed sumthin to and he didnt get cought why should i be in trouble…(example) Exhaust tickets can be won. Just argue the fact that u have a stereo that when cranked u cant hear urself and when ur cruizin and a harley goes by u u really have to go :shock: WOahhh or truckers using their J brakes sounding like gunshots those are loud. or u backed into a crub they day before and the muffler crushed a bit so before the muffler there was a leak that u had to fix then just buy a 2.5" exhaust adaptor coupling w/e its called for 5 buxs at CT and show the gudge ur reciet(its a stock muffler u say just leaked). I just prove i have a hearing loss(over the 2 years of listening to 3000W amp pounding 4 subs) and that what i hear is diffrent from what u hear. Just print off sum random hearing graph off the net that shows a decent drop in hearing loss from the average person. Scream Whhhhhatt!!! like lil john every now n then

If a cop trys to give you a ticket for your exhaust being to load, tell him you want him to get a DB meater to test it, to see if it is loader then the limit.
I belive its completly up to the cop. If its louder than OEM he can give u a ticket for it.

a cop pulled me over canada day told me i had to change my loud exhaust back to oem…i told him theres no way im going to pay tonnes of money to go to a nissan dealership and put on a oem or stock exhaust…then he said go to a muffler shop and i told him that those are also aftermarket exhausts and he got kinda mad but all he did was give me a peice of paper saying i had to change it back to stock or a 110 dollar ticket would be issued…never had anything issued…actually havent heard from him since haha

I do the same thing as alesserfate, if people start tail gating me i slow right the f**k down to the limit, lol, and if they are still doing it, i slow down more.

that’s what i’m going to try to do. get it tested by a company, get them to sign a document saying they were witness to the exhaust creating a certain dB level at a certain rpm, as well as possibly videotape it.
i tried looking up the highway traffic act, but it seems very vague. is it an online watered-down public version or something? when i looked up the offense, it just said something like “excessive noise”, which could be ANYTHING. it all depends on the person, something quiet to one can be loud to another. if anyone knows FOR CERTAIN the legal dB level, or whether it’s up to the officer, please post (only if you’re 100% sure). thanks in advance.
i asked the cop whether i need to revert back to stock or just make it more quiet, and he said to make it more quiet, no need to go back to stock. i find this odd.
either way, i’m going to try to fight it. worst comes to worst, i’ll just install a silencer.

I’ve been pulled over for this but he let me go when I offered to bring it in for a Db test, whereapon he informed how that law reads
I’d suggest finding a DB # from a transport truck dealer for there “Jake Brake”, and if your car can come in under that #, base your defense on this…
I’v heard from a lawyer at Goodmans lawfirm downtown, that he had a ticket for a loud exhaust. he asked the crown to know what the legal limit is. the crown gave him a number, he then asked what his car read out as… the crown was unable to give a number and the ticket was dropped.
