On the Way to work I just passed a Lady Cop driving a bettle as a cop car,
and it was not even undercover, just a norman police bettle

i’ve seen those in markham, and it’s not new either. first time i saw that was last summer, a couple times during this last summer, and then again about 3 weeks ago. (spotted on carlton and kennedy rd). those are york region cruisers, but i dont see them that often.
i seen one of these 2 years ago at my highschool WTCS.
not really their new car. It’s more of a patrolling the area car.
I heard they’re pretty damn fast, regardless…

I’m pretty sure what you saw was originally part of the “Safety Bugs” program. There were 2 or 3 VW Beetles painted up like cop cars that travelled around to area schools teaching kids about safety and seatbelts and whatever. A company I worked for 4 or 5 years ago did the animated films for the program. And yes, I recall the lady cop who was part of the program was pretty hot…for a cop anyways.

My buddy used to have a jetta… and some damn punks used to keep stealing his antenna (the twist off kind), well my buddy thought it would be a good idea to “borrow” the one off the cop beetle and sell it to my buddy with the jetta.
God some of my friends are stupid.

ummm actually, those police cars are used on daily basis on the streets of north vancouver
yes, obviously they don’t make it into production as police cars for the whole city, but the mercedes, audi, landrover and the jaguar are all used and can be seen on the road with officers in them
as far as i know, those cars were donated by dealerships for advertising pruposes…
those are nothing compared to some undercover police cars. anything from a dodge caravan to dodge durangos to maxima 3.5, cops are getting creative these days lol
