Everyone’s real jazzed on the Focus RS overall and I respect it for what it is, but I can’t help but think that there are better ways to spend $40k. The color is fucking awesome, though.
Why not wait for a Volvo V60 Polestar to pop up used and inevitably wildly depreciated instead? Twin scroll turbo I6, same paint color. More comfortable interior, also not a Focus.

Although I am a huge fan of the RS, I too vote for throwing a tune on the R. I know you probably aren’t into modding that car in any way but I think going stage 1 would be a nice way to get some more daily enjoyment out of it without changing the resale value or spending much cash. Those things just have so much potential.

Honestly Id wait this one out. With Subaru supposedly coming out with an AWD turbo version of the Br-z, Honda has a few things in the works with some type Rs and mazda with a few new things as well set to hit within the next year or two. I appreciate what ford is doing making a somewhat fun car that isnt a damn fuzion but honestly for the money, its still a ford and a focus at that and i just couldnt justify that kind of coin and say i enjoy driving a focus lol.
If they made a GTR hatchback type vehicle i’d be on board. I actually dig that volvo wagon.
