although a ls1 might be cool, i’d rather put a big block or sumtin like a 302 in my 2.3 mustang

Well for a Ford you need to keep it a Ford motor so go with a 351 since you need all the V8 stuff anyway.

Big blocks are for trucks and theyre too heavy and a small block can make just as much power in a Mustang.

i drove the 2.3 mustang for a year. all it had was 90hp Thats all. ya i get it was an economy car but Jesus, my plymouth horizon had more ballz than that thing:(

I had a Ranger with a 2.3 and automatic. No balls whatsoever.

Anyone have any insight on springs for this s13, i mean if i’m looking to put an engine in it i might as well look for everything else too.

not a complete swap, but an SR20DE itself… im sure you can get the harness for a couple hundred if that off nico/japan star etc…

the motor doesnt care if its FWD or RWD, gotta find a RWD tranny which can be found for a few hundred, not hard to come by

and… anddddddd… theres a few JDM import sites that have a complete SR20DET setup for 700 bucks… its not a red/black or bluebird… they just look like plain ol KA color valve covers…

I know a few people who hve used them in their cars (not personaly but on forums etc…) there rated like 10hp less than a red top

Why would he want to do more work and spend more money to lose Displacement and Tourque by going with a NA SR? That makes no sence at all… its cheaper and easier to just drop another KA in

Any opinions on front struts for the 240. I felt ambitious today and cleaned the snow of it, an after about 3 weeks of not starting it, it started right up so now i’ve decided to start doing some work

+1 on the KYB GR2, both of my 240’s had/have them.

my 300 has em

there 1 up from OEM but dont exspect them to handel harsh springs in the future
