The only thing I have to add is how much of a bitch Briatore is being over this. Before the season “We need to do everything to make sure Honda/Brawn does not miss this season”. Getting his ass kicked now, “They don’t deserve a dime of the commercial funds and I will do everything in my power to make sure they do not get them, and Jenson sucks”.
Oh yeah, I forgot Renanult. When Alonso isn’t passing out from dehydration, he can run up there and compete for points. I don’t expect to see a whole lot from Renault this year though. It will seal Alonso’s move to another team (possibly Ferrari) next year.
Briatore is hilarious. I love to see how poorly the huge egos in F1 deal with a no-name team dominating the first GPs.
Brawn is a huge contender, Toyota… maybe, I just don’t like how Ferrari is doing this year. I was talking to ILC today and said that when the announcers were discussing the Ferrari/Force India “battle” halfway through the race I was :picard:
“The idea that they are indispensable is nonsense,” the Briton said on Friday. “It’s a little bit like poor Senna. He was the most important driver in 1994 but when he very sadly got killed, Formula One went on. Lotus were very important once, so were Brabham,” Mosley added.
Monaco is an awesome track, but it’s pretty much a parade because it’s impossible to pass on-track. Not really the best F1 race to watch. Now the next GP should have some more excitement.
I’m very impressed with Button this race too… He was able to keep the super softs running an extra few more laps, than Rubens. Not only that but the late Q3 hot lap to take the front spot. simply impressive in my books.
Vettel - I REALLY LIKE HIM, but he needs to GROW UP! 2nd stupid decision this year. UGH!!
BMW SAuber - they make me cry
Ferrari… - FUCK! They are getting in the mix of things… FUCK!
LOL @ Lewis Hamilton lol. What a dumbass mistake in Q1
I loved Monaco, that is the best race I’ve watched since Brazil last year… and no major wrecks/safety car either. I’m also glad to see Ferrari back in the mix despite ILC and his poor attitude
Vettel is a great driver… not his fault in Australia, maybe his fault in Monaco… but just a little if it is. It’s a hell of a track that allows no room for error.
What is going on with Hamilton? He got knocked out in Q1 with no wrecks, major mechanical issues that I can see. He was definitely fighting the car the whole time though so I think he has setup issues.
I like to watch qual if I have time or feel like it. This weekend, I spent a few hours prepping and painting my girlfriend’s car, so by the time I got home I was super tired and just wanted to throw on the hockey game and go to bed…so I skipped qual. I don’t bother with practice.
