I talked to Craig there. He wanted me to give him until Saturday AM. I’m like dude, thats fine, i’ve all day sunday to paint everything now!
nice! post pics of the frame when you get it back
got the delete plug today! its a little loose fitting, but being bonded in + the screws, should hold it perfectly/
i scuffed the primer on the tank, it had one drippy spot. the drip is gone, and i hit it with a few good coats of high build.
Yea, I made it loose on purpose since you’d use rtv anyways. I didn’t want it to end up being too big which would basically make it useless.
i like the way you think my friend!
snagged a few goodies from the yard today…
got a 18" front comstar wheel with a new kenda tire for $10!
alllllso picked up a inverted front end from a 05’ suzuki boulevard for $20!
I’m going to run my stock front end for now to get the bike together until i get a new set of tripple clamps made.
we’ll see, I might have to make a set for myself first. haha
that front end was SUPER worth our trip to the junkyard today…even though it was a MASSIVE pain in the ass getting the stupid ugly wheel off it that was on that gay ass suzuki boulevard
Make a set for yourself, then mine!

If only we had a big enough Allen wrench it woudnt have been a pain!
started messin with makin a seat upholstery pan yesterday. cut a street sign for start.
little bending/smashing with hammer
rough cut some high density foam
made some template pieces
tried using my ma’s old sewing machine…
she wanted a new one anyway, so off to the store. she picked up a husqvarna sewing machine haha. it went smooth after that.
before captain obvious chimes in…i know the lines aren’t PERFECT
sewinginprogress
first flip
trimmed up the flaps on the inside/pushed out all the corners best i could. right now its over the foam/upholstery pan
hopefully tomorrow ill finish it up. the plan is to pop rivet the upholstery to the pan. then it will be velcro’d to the fiberglass seat pan in the end.
I wouldn’t recommend rivets, they’ll end up poking places they shouldn’t
hmm, true. maybe ill cut a thinner piece of sheet metal same as the sign and put it between the foam and the sign. only rivet thru the sign
that or get a little baggy of those brass hole reinforcements that you punch into the fabric…and lace it like a shoe underneath to pull the fabric tight over the pan…
That’s fancy! then you could easily add/remove foam as you ride it. That foam looks like it won’t provide much cushion.
bUMP!
I’ve been meaning to get at this for the last couple weeks haha. I’ve been busy with other projects/work/detailing for a buddy while he was on vaca. This week doesn’t look like the weather is gonna be that bad. Time to get back at it lol
It should start to get a bit nicer as the week goes on. I love the winter but once the spring hits and we get that extra hour of light back after work, i’m done with the snow. I’ve been struggling to find motivation lately, lol
BUMP FGGT.
Thanks chooch! I’ll be workin on it today!
Sorry I never made it over last night…fiberglassin’ wasn’t going as quickly as I had hoped, and Paul B stopped by so I could scope out his bumper…I’ll text you later dudeguy.
