pulled the old races out. used the master bearing slide hammer with two hooks. came out super easy haha
tossed the front end together (not fully adjusted/tight just yet)
front wheel on
swing arm/rear shocks on
rear wheel
on the kick stand!
tossed the rear sets on for shits and giggles
looks VERY close! my roommate (who is bigger than i am) sat on the bike, rear shocks dont move at all. they are STIFFFFFF
tossed the speedo on as well (still needs paint yet)
front view
then my ma showed up and brought my tank/seat!
seat pan is just set on right now. still has to be mounted/might need a few washers to level it out nice. i plan to put some rubber around the edges so i dont scratch the tank with the seat pan.
i wanna get it so the seat pan, sits flush with the bottom of the rear hoop
then wheeled it out in the sun
im super happy with it thus far! cant wait till shes ready to ride!
i found a fender for $27 shipped. ugliest thing in the world. but for the price i couldnt say no. its gonna be chopped super small and be repainted anyway.
got the speedo back together after paint. looks pretty good.
the little bit of painting on the motor i decided to do is done.
the rest of the motor still needs a finial polish, to remove the sand marks/scratches
started mocking up the controls/levers/headlight etc,
i still dont like where how the headlight is far away. im going to try and make a mount for the speedo to bring it down more and split the difference between the headlight and the top tree.
then did the rear turns. they sit a little up at the ends because of the curve in the seat pan.
another shot with the headlight in and the visor. still have to paint the headlight bucket/ears/visor
didnt like the headlight ears i bought from DCC. they were straight and long. i grabbed a set gennaro had kickin around from his cb550 and put them on. they have a bit of an angle and are a little shorter, bringing the headlight in closer. it looks alot better now. test fit before paint.
made this little guy for the linkage from the brake pedal to go to. its welded to the washer that was already there with the straight edges.
end of the screw driver is where the other end on the linkage goes. you can see it will need a slight bend once i make the linkage.
just a piece of shelving for mock up. the rubber band behind, is where a return spring will be for the brake pedal.
cleaned up the front brake caliper and painted it.
cleaned up and painted the exhaust with heat primer/heat flat black. it will be wrapped, leaving the turn down being the only part not wrapped. staying black.
painted the flanges red
a friend gave me some piso’s from the Philippines. the 1 piso fits perfectly in the triple tree. i set one up, and one down
Seen yours! Haha but my roommate was lookin at it last night and said coins would look sweet there lol. He hadn’t seen your bike at all. I mentioned to him you did it on yours

They aren’t fixed on. I just had them sitting around
Been a while since the last update. here’s a few things.
headlight bucket and ears painted
here is the ugly fender that i bought off ebay for $27
chopped it down. it sits really high above the tire. i’m not too worried about it for now. painted it black and threw it on.
shift linkage
brake linkage
few newer photos
quick video. no adjustments have been made to the carbs. i need a new throttle cable, its a little sticky and its too long with the clip ons.
i took it for a ride up and down the street, deff coming along.
also did the F/R brakes the other day.
things still i still need to do:
-adjust carbs
-check/adjust valves/timing/points gap
-front ss brake hose with banjo brake switch (should be here by wed.)
-mount seat
-wrap exhaust
My only negative opinion on this bike is the headlight bucket trim piece being in red. The subtle touches on the engine look good, and maybe I need to see it in person, but i’d rather have that piece on the headlight be black or the original chrome. Overall, solid shit
I need to get you or Nick to rework my tail section for me so I can relocate my battery under the cafe hump. That tail is so much nicer looking than my cooker cutter fold up BS.
Regardless, we need to go for a ride once we are both dialed in %100.
hell yea dude! well get out soon! i just received my brake switch and hose today. ill be out in the garage in a bit, and get it hooked up. we deff gotta make you a killer seat pan.
