I went to dan georger to check them out… they wont let anyone test drive :bloated:. I told them I am pretty much signed on papers on a new STI and I wanted to compare them, they said no test drive, i said no thanks
shit man, that’s what they did for the GTO a few years back, are you saying that policy didn’t work to sell cars?
:purextc:
nah its just dan georger i believe… who knows, I look (am) young they probably just think I am looking for a joy ride.
Yeah that is Dan Georger’s policy on the Evos.
My friend’s dad is a salesman there and has said before that its tough to make a sale on one, because of the rule that none can be driven unless sold.
I think the dealership is undergoing an ownership change though so maybe they’ll have one to demo soon.
I would actually make a point to venture back there if you do get an X from another dealership, ask for the salesman, and just show him to help get the point across that they lost a sale to a valid buyer. Seriously. Not to be an ass, but for the benefit of others like you and I that’ll roll up with the curse of (oh no) looking young while actually having the means to obtain the shiz. That’s the classy way to do it
I pity the person who ends up buying that poor abused potential demo car for thousands above msrp:(
It doesn’t do any good. People have done it already. The salesman straight out told me that Dan Georger would rather not sell them at all but Mitsubishi gets on him if he doesn’t have at least one in the showroom.
The salesmen there don’t expect to sell any. If they do, great! But Dan pretty much makes it impossible to sell any. Yes it sounds retarded, but thats the way they operate. He doesn’t stay in business selling Evos.
pretty weird though, they have 4 sitting in the showroom… two MR’s and two GSR’s. Why buy 4 of them that are never going to sell?
The salesperson told me that they wont sell for any less than sticker price and no test drives. I said hooookay c-ya.
lol. I took that pic. And my JDM rear is being ordered soon. So hot.
Oh you did? Looks dope man. I like the selective sepia tone + vinegette combo, I’ve edited a few of my pics that way too. Always looks hot
people just love to remove the crash beam from the back… I don’t get it… so now when somebody hits your car at 7mph instead of replacing the beam you total your car. I’m sure insurance will cover that after you remove it by choice lol…
Yeah, I never understood that either. Sure it is undoubtedly more aesthetically pleasing, but I’m uncertain how pleasing it’d be after a minor fender bender turns the car status to “salvage”
To each their own I guess. Plus swapping the bumper out changes it’s class  in most motorsports
Dan Georger wouldn’t let me test drive their Evo 8, so I ended up getting an STi from Northtown. :gotme:
Letitroll’s car has a custom made rear crash beam. Pay to play…yellow car doesn’t.Aero Colission FTW!
That’s because Dan Georger’s dealership is a bag of knobs.
I dunno if that would technically cause a class change, since it is technically a different trim option on the same car.
regardless, at least for non pro events it certainly wouldn’t matter
Regardless, the spoiler on most generations look too large for the car. I think V is one of my favorite gens of the evo.
New STI - LOL, what a waste of a car - ugliest car on the market, I’d take a Chevy Aveo before that POS wagon (from the exterior POV). Older STI’s are nice, but I’d prefer a warranty on my turbo car so I had to go new.
