That is an awesome idea. If i’d still be in Quebec, i’d drive up to Ottawa and even miss work just for that.
um fuck that shit. If im caught “street racing” I will run away from the cops. They sieze my car, crush it, give me a huge ass fine, could throw me in jail. hmmm if i get caught running i get evading police as well. I would take that risk and im sure many other people would as financially and legally there fucked anyway. plus im a minor so clean after 18 :D. I dont street race by the way but i know since its up to the cop pulling from a line fast against another car up to speed limit lets say would still constitute street racing. The government should mabey focus on gangs, guns the more important crimes that are ruining the city not street racing jeeze.
This will work, Canada is not a communist country. We are our own worst enemies if we’re going to be lazy about this issue.

Thats what we are trying to avoid, we are trying to get CLEAR LAWS about street racing. As it stands now, we have guys from Toronto Integra and Nisforums on board. It won’t be long until there will be quite a few of us, then we go to City Hall pettion for our protest… This needs to be done fast… In the next few weeks.
Oh, and if it is a criminal offence, it stays with you… Even if your a minor. It may not be on public record, but its there.

My heart broke as i saw those civics being crushed.
Crushing people’s cars is just going to make them scared and angry, and that’s a bad combination. All this is going to do is encourage more high speed chases from people who are scared their car will be crushed. It’s stupid how the government has to resort to terrorist-like scare tactics. This was basically a televised execution.
Spoke to my Sister who is a PHd. at York in PolySci. the whole argument and application of the laws they’ve used to impound, sieze and crush the car is 100% actionable based on the Canadian Charter of Rights. The Ontario Goverment has infringed upon them by assuming that “every modified car IS going to be used to street race, therefore your are guilty”
Simple as that. THey take your car and crush it based on the assumption that you are guilty of being a streetracer becuse you havea modified car. I simple trip to your lawyer , case filed and you walk away allot richer and the goverment with a legal egg on it’s face for the next election.

I completely agree someone needs to whip up some signs “I AM NOT A STREET RACER” in big white plastic with bold black lettering, but narrow enough to not obscure taillights or licence plate (some cars might fail here but…) so as not to make them illegal, stick one to every vehicle with a trunk you own
and if you want to piss off everyone ride in convoys of 5 and spread out 1 per lane and drive the speed limit… you won’t hear much after the blaring horns but drive steadily for like 5-10km and then spontaneously break up… do this periodically so you let everyone roar by in rage and you get a new audience built up to show the signage

I would like to have I finnal tally of all how wish to be involled within the next week… I am asking the same from the other forums that this is posted on…
We will set a initial meeting date with everyone interested from all the forums, we will discuss/plan out the event and each forum group will elect a rep. Then, we will agree upon a date for Driftstar/MSSC and the reps from the forums to go down to City Hall and pettion for our permit.
