I wouldn’t let my kid wear a flag shirt to school because I wouldn’t want them looking like they came out of a trailer park. But from what I heard Fox News blew that whole story out of proportion…shocker. I guess these were a bunch of hillbilly kids that wore it on their shirts, pants, and bandanas to confront the ones with the mexican shirts and get in their face and harass them…yep sounds like HS.
Did you just say the wearing the American flag is trashy? lol come on Joe!
Dude, who wears american flag shirts, pants, and bandanas? Only time I ever saw that ensemble was white trash at a NASCAR race and right-wing fggts at teabagger rallies.

Chris Rock pretty much hit it on the head with these guys.
I’M AMERICAN MAN, I’M AMERICAN MAN, FUCK ALL THESE ILLEGAL ALIENS
I’m not sure that I actually understand this law. I’ve read it a few times. Federal law already requires aliens to carry their papers at all times. Police always operate on probable cause don’t they? I don’t actually see anything new in the “new” law at all.
What’s going on here?
Kind of what I was trying to say. It has been written for years. I sometimes wonder if a legislation will pass a law just to pass a law without actually doing their homework on it.
Is it even logical to assume that this is a common practice in the majority of public schools in the US?
“that’s right this is America!”
Illegal immigration is such a HUGE problem in this country that it’s about time to step up and do something. It just so happens that nearly 90% of illegal aliens are of hispanic decent.
So, you say, just because your brown that does not mean you’re illegal…
For people who live on the Mexico/US border, it’s pretty easy to spot someone who is here illegal… just like it’s easy to spot someone who just robbed a liquor store, or is high on some kind of illegal drug… they look paranoid as fuck.
Blah Blah Blah, unconstitutional… well guess what, 200 years ago we didn’t have an immigration problem…we do now…sometimes laws need to change to further protect America.
So the next time one of you guys who is agianst this law is driving your $50k car down the road and gets sideswiped by an illegal alien who has no insurance on their vehicle (because none of them do) and your insurance company needs to foot the bill…
Or, the next time you need to get surgury and it’s a million dollars to fix whatever it is you need fixed, you can thank that illegal immigrant who broke his leg jumping the fence, got treated in America and left the country leaving the hospital to foot the bill.
My grandparents and father are immigrants from Europe…but they naturalized legallly, they paid their dues, learned the language and have become productive members of society, unlike 90% of illegal immigrants from that lovely country to our south.
-this comes completely my own unbiased beliefs.
wait, wat? So if you’ve had your rights violated, and you’re against other people having their rights violated, that makes you a hypocrite? That’s like saying that if a former slave was against concentration camps because “They didn’t get as many protests”, they’re a hypocrite. Your argument is invalid.
GO ARIZONA!
Cliffs:
L.A to Arizona.: “We’re gonna boycott you as tourist destination”
Arizona to L.A.: “Considering we provide 25% of your electric power, you might want to re-think severing ties with us, especially since the electric contracts are coming up”.
Well played Arizona.
I chose to drive my modified car and accept the risks, does a legal Hispanic American chose to have pull-me-over brown skin?
It’s called statistics and probability. Why do you think cops set up roadblocks after Bills games, New Years Eve, Thanksgiving Eve? Because they know its a big drinking time so the odds of catching more drunks is much higher than having one on a rural road on a random Tuesday at 1pm. Why don’t you liberals go hold a protest in front of your local police station and cry about that “profiling”?
Oh, and go Arizona!
I already do bitch about that profiling. Cops these days can’t even do their jobs so they keep getting the field tilted in their favor.
Is “being brown” really the only way the cops can identify a potential illegal though?
What about, “he was standing outside home depot looking for cash work, so I asked to see his papers”?
Or, “When I rolled up on the landscapers working one of the guys was acting all nervous and tried to hide”?
I’ve been to a couple states with really large illegal populations and I’d be willing to bet if you asked me to pick out 10 illegals while I was cruising around I’d be right 10 out of 10 times. If you simply pointed to every hispanic looking person you saw and asked me to guess if they were legal that’s different, but that’s not what the police are being asked to do. They’re simply being told if they have a reasonable suspicion the person is an illegal to verify their status, and they’ve been told simply being brown is not a reasonable suspicion.
they made it so loose that police really can go around harassing people at their will, and I’m sure they’ll get a ton of illegals, but this doesn’t outweigh the fact that brown skinned people who have done no wrong will be targeted.
Glad to see you haven’t bothered reading it. Congrats on joining such a distinguished group of people who are willing to condemn a bill they haven’t read, like Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

In the bill there is actual wording suggesting ways for the police to make these initial stops…
6 A. IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR AN OCCUPANT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE THAT IS STOPPED
7 ON A STREET, ROADWAY OR HIGHWAY TO ATTEMPT TO HIRE OR HIRE AND PICK UP
8 PASSENGERS FOR WORK AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION IF THE MOTOR VEHICLE BLOCKS OR
9 IMPEDES THE NORMAL MOVEMENT OF TRAFFIC.
10 B. IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR A PERSON TO ENTER A MOTOR VEHICLE THAT IS
11 STOPPED ON A STREET, ROADWAY OR HIGHWAY IN ORDER TO BE HIRED BY AN OCCUPANT
12 OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE AND TO BE TRANSPORTED TO WORK AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION IF
13 THE MOTOR VEHICLE BLOCKS OR IMPEDES THE NORMAL MOVEMENT OF TRAFFIC.

But I’m sure you won’t bother reading, just like our national politicians. You’ll just hop on the bandwagon with the other 27% of the country that are against this and yell about racial profiling.
http://people-press.org/report/613/arizona-immigration-law
reasonable suspicion is much different than just freely pulling people over. There are so many thousands of defense lawyers out there just eager to jump on a “wrongful stop” that LEOs will NEVER pull someone over just for the hell of it.
Here is your resonable suspicion: A cop spots 3 hispanic men, wearing wet clothes, each wearing a back pack, and carrying a jug of water, at 3am. They are 5~miles from the Mexico border and try to hide when the cop drives by…
The cop asks them for their papers… is this racial profiling?
People act like cops are just going to walk into the local bar and start asking people for their papers.
I don’t blame them for enacting the law and I hope more states enact similar practices. How else are they supposed to figure out who’s here legally and who’s not? Obviously no one is going to voluntarily announce their illegal status…
These people are here illegally! illegally…illegally. What does that mean? Its against the law. Send them back. Simple enough.
This bullshit about harassing people that are here legally. Hell, if I don’t have a driver license and I drive I get a ticket. Its a privilege to have a driver license not a right. Does that mean I should be sympathetic to people that don’t feel like going through the process of getting a driver license? Meh fuck it, just give them out
Everyone DOES NOT have the right to just walk in and expect all the privileges of the people that are here. They DO have the right to due process to become a legal contributing citizen.
What if you’re walking down the street without a driver’s license?
