Yea, sorry if you are an iron worker or fisherman who died and didnt get recognized, but I dont think you would call up Long John Silver if you were assaulted, to come and protect you… and Im pretty sure you wouldnt expect a steel worker from Clairton Works to rescue you from a burning building before the fire department arrived on scene… or how about after you crash your car and you are entrapped in the wreckage, clinging to life by a thread and the only thing that helped you make it through was the Police Officer that arrived on scene before the Fire and EMS and held your hand and talked to you til they could rescue you…
Police Officers rarely get praise from the public when they do something good… Most only see the negativity that the media produces. And not to mention most Police only get paid pennies to do what they do.

Cops get paid peanuts to do things I wouldn’t want to do. I could work in a steel mill, they just sleep half the time anyways and collect a check. Cops actually do things to protect and serve. They deserve what they are getitng with the funerals and the parades. they earned it!
the black strip over the badge is that something that the officers do in a time of mourning? i was down in Lawrenceville today picking up some uniforms for the firecompany and i saw all of the police officers there had that on their uniforms.

on the way to work passed state police motorcade and moon twp police force must of been at least 60 cars and bike with red and blue on was cool.
i got pulled over on the parkway for about 10 solid minutes while 100+ cars drove single file down to the stadiums

i was comming down the parkway about noon and there was a line of cars all the way up forbes down the parkway and cars still leaving heinz field… impressive show of support. it was quite a sight to see.
