I c we are talking about drive ways… not parking lots, well my logic still stands true on parkinglots. Note how I said parkinglot.
Lot /lɒt/ Show Spelled [lot] Show IPA noun, verb, lot·ted, lot·ting, adverb
–noun
Often, lots. a great many or a great deal: a lot of books; lots of money. In this case a lot of parking spaces, making it a parking Lot, how big is your driveway, cause im sure it’s not concidered a “lot”…
Cause you where clearly talking about parking Lots in that first post of yours…
Yesterday, I was driving along Bullock in the right lane, doing 70 in a 60 zone. Bro in is his 3 series, pulled up next to me in the left lane and punched it hard core. Thing rippped harrrrrdddddd!!! He got ahead of me and switched into the right lane in front me. We were both turning right onto highway 7. Red light. There’s a corolla in front of us. Corolla started his right turn on red and then all of sudden STOPPED dead. fml. Anyways, dude in the Beemer saw him start his turn and didn’t lift he was still checking for cars on his left and jsut assumed the corolla was still making his turn as it was clear!!! (this coulda happened to anyone) anyways, because he was ripping so hard to impress me, I guess, he slammed into buddy at WOT. OUCH. I felt bad for him. He was just trying to show off and he slams into Corolla as Corolla was a dumb ass.
Ig he wasn’t trying to look cool, he woudln’t have got owned…moral of the story. I even stopped and said that I would vouch that the Corolla performed a “dangerous” maneouvre as I felt bad for the Beemer.
I see it all the time too man.
I do the same thing though. When I see a car on the highway that I deem “to be way cooler than mine from the factory but mine is maybe a match for him now due to mods” (yes, i made that runon description liek that on purpose) I rip it by him as well. Eg. rippin it on 407 yesterday, pull up next to a pimped out Bugeye WRX. He did a double take once he heard me and gave a big grin and thumbs up then I dropped two gears and laid rubber next to him…HE LOVED IT and I felt great! Yes, I’m a homo but that kinda shit makes me happy. It’s the same thing as rolling by a school bus on the 400 series on the bike and having them frantically motion for a wheelie!!! Then ripping a third gear wheelie next to them. It’s a GREAT feeling being able to put on a WANTED show…it’s RETARDED to put on an UNWANTED show for people.
So I say, relax man, it’s all fun and games till someone actually hits you showing off…lol. I’ve seen THAT too. ahhahahahahahah.
PS: My motor JUST arrived for me Civic and I plan to be ripping MAJOR TEK by any 240 I see and possibly embarassing him or her…that’s just on the street. On a small track, I will easily be able to embarasss A MASSIVE number of local S Chassis’ harharhahrhahrharharhahrharhahr.
I tried to impress some chicks at bus stop when I was turning onto a deserted side road…
I was making a right onto a industrial side road and saw a bunch of chicks checking my car out as I was coming in…for some reason I find that all women tend to stare or look twice at black convertibles when the top is down…anyways, was making a right and saw them staring, I did a quick flick and yanked the e brake to initiate, then honked on it, car started to slide for a split second… then my 20 year old VLSD let me down and went back to being an open POS. Then proceeded to run wide and one wheel peel making an awful lot of noise but going nowhere.
Thanks dudes, I missed the replies. Well, now that I have my new Auto Club, I may just have to blog about my daily road adventures. Driving an average of 200-250km a day makes for a lot of fun.
Yeah, good point Ronnie on the wanted and unwanted shows. The thumbs up is a nice feeling.
I know that when I see an impressive car I want to hear it take off.
On another note, the other night I was sitting at Dundas Square and this Gallardo pulls up and I’m waiting for him to take off even at 2500 to 3000 rev shift so I can hear the beast, but instead he literally rolls it, then continues to roll it so you could almost hear nothing! Was kinda upset…
It happens to most of us, just ignore it man. Take it as a good thing, your car sparks attention and makes those boys go loco for your approval or a thumbs up haha
I will drop it down a gear or boost for those that pull up beside me and want to see/hesr that. I will talk cars with anyone really interested in it if approached. I just don’t want an unwanted show like you said while I am fresh out of the drive through enjoying a drink after doing some work, and things like that, especially if it’s at the wrong place wrong time like it usually is.
Also about the Lambo. Talk cars with the guy. Sure it’s 275,000, but the driver is still a car guy. I cruised with a Ferrari F430 last week. I am jizzing my pants right now talking about it for the 10th time. Proper car guy, dropped the hammer and showed me what is up. It is an absolute pleasure to be ruined by a Ferrari. Absolutely phenomenal car. I can’t believe I cruised with a dream car of mine!!! He was a proper car guy, and that was a proper Ferrari. Coolest Ferrari owner ever. He pulled beside me and smiled and I lost it at the lights. I can’t stop talking about it.
Anyway, yeah, just approach the guys in a mature fashion. If you aren’t a hat backwards sterotypical rice burning douche and have a geniune interest, they are usually more than willing to show you the car and talk about them, there are always douche bags, but most car guys share th same love, just the guy with the Lambo has a bigger bank roll.
lol i was next to a very very low green lotus exige on the highway i kinda looked at the guy but he had his nose up in the air, i revved and let the blow off valve do the talking instead, the guy seemed uninterested lol… so not all expensive car owners are oh so excited when they see another car. I guess my talon tsi didn’t peak his interest, but i passed him flying He seemed like a very old grey hair kinda guy… I thought I was going to say hey nice track car or something but didn’t quite feel like it the way he was looking lol. On the other hand I’ve also had a chance to roll with some ferrari owners and well they just love their cars in a proper way
yo feint i spotted your car at 1 am on dundas this morning. you gave me such a dirty honda boy stare like you wanted me to start doing burn out. (green integra)
