Bad bike accident on the 400N near Transit.

As much as this is what should be said, you might as well not even waste your breathe. It will happen regardless of what is said or what tragedy will happen. Luckily I learned my lesson a long time ago and since then I have seen numerous accidents/deaths that could have very easily been me.

+1, There is almost no protection in a fall/crash compared to a car. That being said the smallest mistake can mean the worst consequences like this story. I’d hate to lose a friend or family member in a situation that could have easily been prevented. Also, the reputation given to other bikers who choose to ride safe sucks.

Sorry to hear.

It happens. Bikes are fast, people want to go fast. Its like saying people with fast cars always drive legally on the road and only open it up on the track when the truth is, anyone who has been withing 5 miles of a car show hears people rip out of there on the roads. It will always happen. Just sucks people don’t realize they are not invincible and there is consequences even more so on a bike.

The general public won’t understand but there are people here who ride smart and have gone down and still around today because they weren’t riding like idiots and multiplying the dangers. Yes, its a dangerous hobby and there will be innocent people who die from no fault of their own but being able to be here today is one of the biggest trophies you can have for being a safe rider.

“there are a million things constantly trying to kill you while you’re riding, why add one more?”

Sorry to hear. He lived? Even worse.

Comparing it to cars doesn’t really work in the history of UBRF/NYSpeed I don’t know anyone who died from from screwing around on the street with a performance car. I have seen people get in accidents etc and walk away.

Either way this whole thing sucks if your going to do stupid shit on a bike least you can do is not have a passenger.

Also, you have to know that if you are going to hop on one of these or even worse hop on the back of one with no control of your own life, you are accepting the consequences of your actions. That being said, I do not wish death or injury upon anyone, but just know you are accepting the worst.

Sucks. Sorry to hear joe.

Thanks guys. She was easily the coolest of my chick’s friends too, but isn’t that how it goes?
The word is out now so I guess I can say, her name is Chelsea Olsen. Family is from Ithaca but she lived in Tonawanda. This is the guy/bike posted just before the accident.

Man, it’s crazy looking at a picture of someone you know died not long after the picture was taken.

Picture actually looks like the other girl…that’s why I thought she was on the Honda, they must have switched if it was the R6 that went down. She was an OR/ICU nurse at Gates Circle and Buff General, I can’t believe she wanted to ride after seeing the aftermath come through there.

Bummer. Passenger or not, anyone who gets on a bike should know the risks.

People already posting on FB about “careless car drivers killing another motorcycle rider”… ugh.

Ugh sorry to hear dude.

Idiot riders. I really dislike the sport bike community. I seriously ride by myself or with 2-3 very close friends and that’s it. Fuck big riding groups where everyone needs to show each other their SIQQQQ skills, fuck revving motors at red lights, fuck wheelies, fuck doing any dumb shit.

I am SOOO glad I bought a standard bike.

Any more details of the crash? The only thing I read was both were speeding and one struck a truck that was in front of them so just wondering if someone said they were weaving or one actually lost control or did one cause the crash of the other.

I am glad you let me grace your presence =)

I’m not sure where I fall into place here.

Lol, I’m still game for riding with you. Between the CB and your bike I’m pretty sure we fall into a different category of riders anyways.

Wow this is absolutely terrible. RIP and my condolences to friends/family. Status on male rider who survived? Will he make it out alive? I can’t imagine what sort of mental torment will surround that kid for the rest of his life.

Just sad all the way around :frowning:

anyone remember the mustang v neon incident a few years ago?? Shouldnt the other party racing be held responsible for her death? ?
