BB Storm

yea dude, sorry, I dont care about the retail channel anymore

well, availability is confirmed, now trying to confirm pricing…

Does the storm have a gyrometer and accelerator that would let it do all the things an iphone does as far as the games and applications go?

not sure about accelerator, but def has gyrometer since it flips the screen when turned like the iphone

that private sale is BS I called the number on the bottom of the mailer and they said it was a promo for the other 3 phones. lol I was like GO FAWK UR SELF!

look at the business end though man, if you owned the company, you would much rather have people paying for that shit than getting it for free.

but yeah as for the storm, idk about resellers but vzw will not have a waiting list, a lot of stores out here will be opening early (7am) on the launch date. price should be similar to the iphone…

Pricing has been confirmed for a few days now $249.99 with a $50.00 MIR.

It’s rare that I am actually impressed by a phone in the us after having used a wide variety of the nokia’s I’ve had. The storm is for lack of any other word badass.

I’ll touch base on a few things, the first is the touch screen. I have had my hands on just about any touch screen out there at one point or the other. The way that the storm works is once a button is touched it will light up notifying you that you are on the correct key, upon pushing harder it will make the selection. That right there defeats a lot of error while typing, you have two options in vertical it will allow you to type with the sure type same as how the pearl used. When switched to horizontal it gains access to a full qwerty keyboard. Out of the box you will also have 9 gig of memory, 1gb of which is internal and the other 8 will be on a micro sd. That of course means YOU CAN take the back off therefore pulling the back off. I don’t care what anyone says about the I-Phone a phone NEEDS a hard re-set at least once a month to maintain peak performance. The web browser is by far the best Verizon has ever seen before, similarity to the I-Phone. CDMA/GSM capability out of the box, I-Phone do you do that? Keep in mind just because a phone is GSM does not mean you should trust (charges of up to $20 per mb depending on the country for data usage) The talk time is going to be roughly 5 hours depending on data usage.

Those are the major points that the average consumer is going to worry about, if anyone has any questions about the storm feel free to ask.

Also, added alarm clock feature(cradle sold seperately)

for consumers.

im talking corporate pricing.

I need that cradle! I know its just a gimmickey thing but its one of the features that i love about it.

Are you talking what VZW/InDirect will pay for it or what the consumer will be charged?

So i actually have to wait till the 21st to buy this phone…ghey i thought the vip thing ment we could buy it early

no, what my corporate customers will pay. I manage 400+ solution providers that sell into / manage 5 line - 15,000+ line accounts. There is no inventory to buy in this channel, everything drop ships, and pricing can be very different from retail.

called them today and they said some bull shit about it being preorder on friday not actually phones in store…any truth behind this i want this phone in my hands asap

1: talk to a corp store, indirects wont be able to order till the 21st.
2: its not life or death if you do not have it right away.

The VIP card was different for different people according to verizon. I went to the store last night they didnt have anything for me. I called the number and they told me that i was elgible for upgrading my phone a few months early and the storm was part of the promo. The stores did not have the ability to offer me this. I ordered mine last night.

The only thing i didnt get was the charging dock which the sales person didnt see as an available accessory.

Rob, MSN

ordered mine on the phone today… only going to cost me $100

$249 is apparently the retail price anyways… $50 mail in rebate, $100 instant credit b/c i was up for renewal.

wow…i think i’m up for renewal soon.

edit: i forgot, only verizon. gay.

wow…very good price on that. i def thought it would have been a lot more.

same… i thought $250 was the contract pricing… not bad
