Big motorcycle accident on the 290...

You don’t write a like a law student.

Also, your cop friend is either a horrible public servant, not worthy of his badge or his story is complete BS.

I agree with this. Your cop friend is a tool and gives cops a bad name. If someone in the ghetto is shot, does he assume that since they are there, the deserve it too and not show up? If a fat person has a heart attack does he not bother giving CPR or assist because they deserve it?

The guy was fine and actually didn’t need assistance. He got up and was basically left with a screwed up bike. At that point what is giving the guy a ticket going to do? There is a no chase policy in FL so the cop didn’t pursue him, the guy took off at the sight of him and got what he deserved.

And I don’t write like a law student because I’m not a pretentious asshole who tries to impress or belittle people by acting better than everyone else or like my opinion is more correct than another person’s.

Public defender??

lol certainly not a public defender

wow, this has really degraded into a shit show.

I am awfully sorry to hear about good friends losing their lives. Really makes you think twice about making dangerous decisions

If the guy was alright, I’d laugh at him too. He thought he was higher than the law and could just out run the police. Cop didnt go because of good reasons, he still went and crashed. Stupid if you ask me on his part.

To be fair, It is an accident thread that turnied into an RIP thread of sorts.
If this accident had been from another state, I can’t imagine the bashing that would have taken place.

If he wasn’t chasing him, how did he see him lose control and crash 5 minutes later?

The story just doesn’t make sense. Why wouldn’t he write an accident report? I know you said he was speeding, but what if his crash was caused by some other act of negligence?

What sort of law do you practice?

I skimmed the last few pages of this and it gave me a headache. This really should be split up into two threads…

Obviously because he didn’t have enough licenses.

there it is

edit: also probably because he didn’t pay an extra $150 to the state of florida to register his highly dangerous sport bike.

Oh my god, thank you Fry!

Look, Avatar… He was speeding, the trooper saw him, turned his lights on. The motorcycles took off, and the cop pulled out and started to persue. Found he was not going to keep up and he wouldnt catch them, lights turn off. after telling amherst police to be on the look out, he came across the accident scene.

If you did not see exactly where this took place… My guess is that he lost control after hitting bumps on the bridge that goes over the BLVD. its on a slight turn to the right, and causes cars to bounce getting on and off the bridge. May have caused him to loose control.

Either way, If the cop followed, It was his job to do so. He cant make the choice for the driver of the bike to stop or speed up. Thats all on the driver.

Ya why doesn’t he stop and do his job. Accident report, protect to make sure the kid doesn’t get hit by a car while waiting for a tow truck, ya know…the usual cop stuff.

Lol :bigclap:

Part of this thread is very sad.

The other part has me laughing.

I hope it gets split.

There are a lot of very simple thoughts presented as deep, insightful prophecy in this thread.

The funny part is it all comes down to the laws of physics which never change. This shit could be avoided with better knowledge of physics.
Philosophy and emotion won’t help.

Which, oddly enough, is like every funeral I’ve ever been to.

That’s what I’m here for. Deep thoughts.

You mean like gas can leak through cracks in metal?

I’ll be honest, those of us that knew Jose can attest, he’d be cracking up at this whole thread, lol.

5 minutes was an exaggeration, it was more like 45 seconds. He saw him go by, pulled out, the guy took off. The cop saw him get off the exit, when the cop got there the guy was on his way down around a curve, bike parts went flying and the guy ended up standing up off the side of the road just looking around. Cop drove by, saw the guy was fine shook his head and drove off.

Why write an accident report? You think that guy is going to call the cops and file a report with insurance? “Uh yea I was running from the cops so let me call them and file an accident report”

Guy got punished on his own, there was no need to pursue it further. If the guy got hit by a car sitting on the side of the road in the grass then he clearly wasn’t smart enough to continue standing where he was and somehow managed to walk into the road.

But yes, I’m just making all this shit up so that I can get you off of your asinine license system. Worked great.
