There are a lot of things I could say but I’ll just go with RIP and my thoughts are with the families and the girl in the hospital.
“Anything you say can be used against you and NOTHING you say can be used FOR you”
Every damn year.

According to police, as many as nine motorcycles and ten total riders were traveling at a high rate of speed on the 290.
A New York State Police Trooper flashed his lights and the bikes took off, according to the reports.
The trooper backed off his pursuits, but the bike continued and tried passing a semi truck driving in the center lane. Then, something went wrong.
“We don’t know what the reason is yet, we don’t know if we ever will, we’re looking into that,” said Amherst Police.
A 21-year-old woman from Niagara Falls was traveling with Amaro. Police say nothing mechanical failed but Amaro likely lost control and was swept under the tractor trailer, which ran him over.
Caramazza was apparently behind Amaro and also wrecked.Witnesses had estimated the group was traveling well over 100 mph.
“If in fact the estimates are true, I mean that’s just, you’re not using common sense if you’re going to go that fast. You don’t have the protection you do in a vehicle for one thing, once you’re off that bike you’re being tossed around and it doesn’t take much to have a serious injury,” said police.
The Niagara Falls woman amazingly only had minor road rash injuries and is expected to be released from ECMC.
“Don’t as me how she survived,” said police.
Its one thing running from the cops by yourself. but to risk it with someone on the back of your bike. That is not your call to make, and you only put someones life at risk. Lucky for her, she did not get seriously hurt. Sad part is, other than speed… he probably had no reason from the sounds of it to which he should have ran in the first place. If you drive fast, dont be an ass hat… pull over and take the ticket. If you dont want the ticket, dont take the risks of speeding.
+1
You do have the right to not self incriminate yourself. If the cops find you to talk, state what you SAW and not what you were doing.
^agree to disagree…
What you say, cant be unsaid. And can be used against you.
My experience will lead me to just keep my mouth shut.

RIP to them and my condolences to their families.
I rode on the streets for a long time, but toward the end I felt like my luck was running out.
Please be safe everyone riding this year. Wear good gear, It may be hard to put on a leather jacket, gloves, riding boots, ect in 90degree weather, but it’s worth the added safely.
RIP, condolences to the families. Hope the girl recovers fast and feel sorry for the truck driver.
Very sad to here. Condolences to the families and friends left behind.

Oh I agree with you. I am just saying sometimes coming forward and saying things you saw can help close the story and assumptions for those involved but still make sure you aren’t doing anything to incriminate yourself.
This is similar to what happend the other day in Hamburg, except the police officer is the one who ended up with a totaled vehicle.
RIP
One of the biggest reasons why I won’t get a bike.
What is? Running from cops and weaving through traffic at 100+ mph? I don’t want to speak ill of the dead but hearing that the riders made bad choices and wasn’t a case of a everyday rider getting blindsided by some one on a cell phone makes it easier to handle. Things like this keep you in the right frame of mind that everyone can die out there so you need to be alert and not take things for granted.
So pretty much, if one of your family members die and I see it happen… Dont say anything because well, I dont want to get in trouble. Correct?
Someone is dead, man up and tell your side of the story if you know what went on.
All i got to say is: " I would of taken the ticket any day of the week rather then lose my life"

Not worth running form the cops. To many witnesses, to may possibilities of accidents, to many risks involved, and no certainty that you’ll get away and not get introuble.
My condolences to the people involved, their families and friends.
You bike riders have brass balls. I would never ride a motorcycle. Too many ways to die. The last three accidents I’ve been in were all the fault of other people. My car was wrecked from getting rear ended at a red light. If I was on a bike, I wouldn’t be here.
Please be safe out there!
It is possible that some of the other riders could be charged with crimes and go to jail, so I’d say at least contact an attorney if you feel like spewing your guts out.
Anyone remember the biker in the Syracuse area a few years ago who did hard time after a cop who was chasing him died? The cops will be looking to nail the other riders who may or may not be culpable in the deaths of the other riders.
I’m out of this argument unless it goes to another thread.
Again, RIP to the fallen riders. My thoughts are with their loved ones.
