so much to post after watching the “mile long wheelie” but I will post up the facts about why many riders I have seen lately are squids:
1.) Your riding gear- if your going to ride wheelies, do it safe, not in a “look at the gun show cut off/ t-top”
2.) Your wheelie placement and how you are doing it: Do you not realize that you are doing wheelies on one wheel with about 3 inches of tire touching in the middle of the road where all the dirt collects? Read any safety book, or talk to any REAL rider and they will tell you that the middle of the road, on the lines is the most dangerous place to be on the road. My best friend died on his bike because he changed lanes and hit dirt along the middle of the road.
3.) If your going to do wheelies because you feel that your good at it, DONT DO IT ON A BUSY ROAD. Its easy to think nothing will happen but just imagine if you lost control of your bike, and went into on coming traffic and killed somone, or yourself.
I am not here to make fun of you or anyone else, trying to save you and others around you. Ride smart not dumb. I have seen someone die right in front of me on a sportbike and I have to live with that every day. I have to live with the fact that every time I want to call my bestfriend kevin, I cant. Its easy to say, it wont happen to me, only happens to suckers etc, but it does happen. People die all the time on bikes because of their own actions or actions of others around them. Ask some of the old riders on here and they will tell you I know what I am talking about. I rode for 10 years and finally gave it up for my family. Everyday I think about buying a bike, coming out of retirement and doing my favorite thing in the world but then I look down at my daughters realize, its not all about me anymore. willy, I wish you still lived up here, its not the same riding culture that it use to be, If I bought a bike, I think the only one I would even ride with now is george or justin.

Yea, I hear ya, Justin/JonnyB/Ryan/Chris/Paulo etc were my main riding buds. It’s not fun when you’re worried about others or other’s actions

Then when i read the story on the link, the persons driveway he ran up posts this “Ya know it just happened to be my driveway that this joker came up & my woods that he was apprehended in. My husband was working on my Jeep in that driveway and could have been hurt. He was going at least 70mph when he passed my husband. If not for the dump truck parked on the upper rd he possibly could have made it a bit further. Those bikes are made for the road not the woods. I have grandchildren that could have been out there, dogs & cats too. Trespassing charges from us just add to the long list of wrongs this kid has done. I have no issues with motorcycles as long as they respect others as I do while driving my Jeep. This is not the first time trying to outrun the police for this kid. I hope the judge takes it seriously.”
thank god, this guy no longer has a bike, not smart enough to own one or how to respect the bike or others around him!

I’d like to point out that the majority of people that are “supporting” him are the same group of riders that us responsible riders tend to separate ourselves from. 99% of the people that regularly go to Club W and/or ride to bars to drink/show off are morons anyways.
This could qualify for Best of NYSPEED.
