these low paid clerks do have plenty of work to do. traffic violations are the busiest part of any court system. and i doubt these clerks have permission to just call a foreign countries legal system to report a violation without the ok from a judge. and again, the judge will see thousands of traffic cases a year and probably doesnt give two shits about one random american dude who decided not to pay his $300 ticket. ive had many speeding tickets in ontario that were not paid and nothing became of them. i still went to canada on a weekly basis, customs never denied me, and opp never mentioned anything about past violation when i was pulled over again and again. maybe im one lucky guy…but im guessing the process of communicating traffic violations between foreign governments is too painstaking to be worth the effort unless its an extreme situation.
