like the pipe thing, isn’t connecting to the coupler thing.
and then for the mass air flow sensor, its not getting any power, I tested it with that voltage meter.

if the coupler isnt going on the pipe. pry it on using a thin flat head screwdriver or something, and for the Maf make sure its connected to the harness and that u didnt splice or cut anything during the install… did you drop the maf on the floor?
lol if your going to complain about working on a 240 , then dont buy a cheap one, go buy a 98 240sx, you wont have to wrok on that as much, lol.
werd
whats a Maf?
and do I really need that bypass foam thing? to block water from getting sucked into the engine?
I pretty much just used pliers and pealed back the metal to make the hole for the intake, do you think I should cut that stuff out?
Some of the hoses are really old and I don’t see them going anywhere, can I just remove them?
I think pictures will help us resolve your issue a little quicker.
maf is a mass air flow sensor that’s attached to your intake
well theres your problem
Ohh… I didn’t know the abbreviation.
Mass air Flow Sensor
so is it MAFS?
Yes and take your car to a mechanic you will probably do more damage then good even if it is only a intake
My mechanic wouldn’t do this for me, he said i would throw codes as well as not pass emissions so he told me to tackle it myself…
guys… where can i get a new mafs? I think mine is done…
^^^buy it from somone here on SON
nO MORON , but i did decide to join the party due to some the wise guys on this site, you better start figuring out how are we gonna shove that vg30et in the coupe and if your not gonna be a good boy ill make you wire it lol
sigh… ok… i really effed up today…
enough of the bullshit, i’m not doing a cold air intake install lol
and i didn’t blow my maf, and yes, i know what an maf is…
I did a front and rear big ass brake kit upgrade, front wilwood 12.2"s and rear 11.4"… I filled up the MC with brake fluid, went to the rear brake at the opposite side to bleed, snaped the bleeder valve right off the caliper… i had pb blasted it first too… fortunately i have an extra caliper but getting the spacers on the larger rotor bracket was a pain… not to mention coordinating with the ebrake cable…tackle that tomorrow.
When i setup my wideband and my turbo timer previously i didn’t seem to be getting enough power out of the ignition sources I was taping into… I decided to tap directly into the wires coming from my ignition switch and having previously tested the system with my trusty voltage meter, everything red 12v and was great… one thing that i probably forgot to consider… SIGNIFICANTLY consider… amperage… next thing you know… nothing turns on, see the wire smoking and UUUUHH OOOOHHH…
turbo timer is DONE, fuse inside the unit is blown… I haven’t checked the wideband yet but thats probably gone too… I gota check on the stock fuses but i’m pretty sure I’m gona have to replace a bunch of them…
my interior lights and dash lights won’t turn on… thats gota be one of them.
I gota get a whole series of AGU or AUG fuses now and play it safe… don’t want this to happen again.
New Wideband and new EBC are coming… i gota look for a tt…
on the other hand…
i got my a arm brace on, both my front axles back on… i started figuring out the bracketry for the front g20 power seats…sigh… you gota move backwards to move forwards sometimes i guess…
btw… I don’t own an s13 or an s14… I own an altima, a ka cousin.
all you people working on your car day in and day out??? what exactly do you work on??? like how bad is your car that it requires soo much work?
endless money pit…i fell into it…and i couldnt get out…
yup. definitely a hit to the wallet
a arm brace is on
strut bar is on
front and rear endlinks and rear sway bar is on
draggone came over to help me out with the exhaust
electronic units are on their way to my place
front bumper is cut out and needs a bit more test fitting
sideskirts and fenders back on
seats i still need to work on
Your shirt is black… NOT!
That is the saddest comment I’ve ever heard. People don’t save up for 240s - they use pocket change to buy them.
