One thing to note: If the spring is preloaded too much the coils will touch when the suspension is under heavy loads. This will cause your rate to increase exponentialy. Snap oversteer, and all sorts of crappy quirks will result. Tune carefully.
is anyone else’s front spoiler dragging on the ground in hard cornering? I am sure you guys are at the same hight as me or a bit lower.
i have my Zenki lip on and i am pretty low but i dont rub it…
so i am going to drop another half inch in teh next two days…lol
…
THESE COIL OVERS RULE…
SO DO FALKEN AZENIS
today was my first time ever driving with good tires, and only up front…
dang i was taking familiar curves 10-20% harder with no difficulties
I ordered my FALKEN AZENIS 2 weeks ago and I think I still have to wait 2 weeks. They’re on back order! I don’t know if I am going to have them for track day.
Jesse, your front scrapes because your springs are weaksauce.
If you want a good height, try matching the wheelgap in front and rear.
Otherwise, you will just scrape shit when you brake and lean into corners.
We need to get proper pictures up from those that have done it. Or just
get a meet together to show off our shizzle.
what size?
i got mine in 1 day… where are you ordering from?
I have a Zenki Lip on my car and it’s about 1" off the ground.
Today driving with Bing on some back farm passes I scraped like a durty slut.
Honestly, aside from the looks of being slammed, what good is it when
it takes you 5min just to drive up a driveway or go over a speed bump.
Sorry but I’d rather stick to conviniene of being in and out of anywhere
without worrying about scraping the ground.
I need a lip damn it.
Who cares, I tear up and down my steep drive way raping my lip, I go normally
over speed bumps and tear up the streets scraping everything in site. Its a car,
who cares, drive it like you would drive your cock into Elisha Cuthbert.
So has anyone found a comfortable dampening settings for themselves?
Not something I’d use (since I have a different setup then most/some).
Just curious to see some #s.
When I first installed it, I had it on 3/2 and car felt great. A little oversteer
exiting the corners, but was good. Little bouncy bouncy.
I put it on 0/0 today and it felt like mush. The bouncy bouncy was
reduced, but the car just didn’t feel ‘hard’ or ‘stiff’.
Damn rain needs to go away.
Im currently running 0/3 on the street and find it works best.
You would have had a blast tonight man if you only could keep up…
G. my buddy has a fibreglass bumper that costs a few hundred and is way too low, he wrecks it everywhere.
we on the other hand have a very durable and cheap urethan lip that can take a ton of havoc so long as it is zip tied.
i knocked mine off more than 10 times last year on crubs, rocks, snow, ice etc etc… and i dont regret it.
i dontk now about elisha cuthbert, i figure i drive my car more like i would the nutties into krystal steal because between she (or the road) and i, i am certainly the amatuer.
Um 205 50 15. I got them at Tire world. 124each came to 570with tax installed and balaced.
My rear is the same as the front for the hight. Actuly i think the front is like 2mm higher.
So how low is too low? After lowering the front another 1/2", and turning
the wheel all the way to the left, the tire is just rubbing the top of the
fenderwell cover. Any of you have this problem?
I will have pics up shortly.
Can some of you people post your wheel gap numbers?
This isn’t the Ronco Food Rotisserie we’re talking about (“Set it and Forget it”).
Bah…
I am ‘tweaking’ it. But it would help to see what others have. Sure not
everyone is running the same setup but a little comparison doesn’t hurt.
Back to the tweaking board…
if i rember il try get some pics for you. post your pics or you wheel gaps too.
Jesse, it’s not the fender that’s rubbing it’s the fender liner (inside the
wheelwell). The stuff Phil mentioned.
My car is not that low. About 4.5" or 5" clearance from ground to edge of
the black liner on the bottom of the bumper. I have yet to hit
speedbumps but I’m sure it’ll be fine. I have no problem getting in and off
driveways so I’m all good.
And yes I’ll have pics later.
