I am pretty happy right now, thanks Bing!
Awesome weather for some drift action. Hope you guys have fun and the new layout is packed with action!
So…I’ve been looking around for updates…what happened? Who won? What finishing order?
Intel tells me Matt won, with the 350z from the USA. Engine blew up too from what I heard.
yea it was wicked cool!!
Matt won the 2010 championship and some mark guy with the pink car took first yesterday
Yeah, Marc won Round VI, did some celebratory dohnuts and then drive his car right into a wall. Had to be flatbedded back to hte pits. Was hilarious.
Weather was great, venue i thought was strong other than the food… man that food was terrible.
I also LIKED how many people were complaining that the lay-out was not ideal… i took that as “not what we’re used to” which is great.
There is supposed to be significnat variation in the track lay-outs. The Ring is not at all like the Monaco GP… It makes each round distinct and requires a more sophisticated driver and team imho… a great addition to the series.
I hope DMCC can find another Ontario venue to run two different Ontario rounds next year or the year after… It’s hard to gain traction iin this market with only one event per year.
Recommendations for next year would be to find a way to get the pro-am or just an amatuer round in on the day prior with the am-finals on the main day. The second day would also allow for more practice for the pro-drivers which i think it necessary to make the final rounds more exciting. A lot of the guys who got double donuts would have benefitted immensely from more practice.
I liked hot the paddock area and the show and shine were adjacent to one another… should somehow condense the whole event if possible to get all the main vendors in on the action as well… i was happy with the placement and the day overall for sure though
