Does anybody ever wrench on their cars around here?

Hangin out in Charlotte for work so no more progress. Hopefully this weekend will allow me time for the finishing touches.

I find me working on piles of crap that relatives own…brakes…wheel bearings…re-connecting sensors that were intentially unplugged by the shitty used car lots they bought them from…vacuum tubes intentionally disconnected from the shitty used car lot they bought shit piles at, etc.

So, yeah, I’m doing basic repairs on shit piles instead of my own stuff. Not glorious, but it’s wrenching and it gives me a good feeling when I get it right.

One day the shit box 'll get done.

I gotta tell ya I like drivin 'em alot more than wrenchin on 'em

This.

Fixed:)

I agree, but since I have a domestic shitbox I do more working than driving.

Did some wiring today, getting close. I need to run the main power wire and some other small wiring, hook up the switches and setup my wideband, then i’ll be good to go.

Need to tweak my tune, time to dump LS1 Edit finally!

Righty tighty lefty loosey

I feel ashamed at myself. took the exploder to a Quick oil change place spent $40. First time since 1997 had someone change my own oil. revoke my man card wtf.

When i got home rechecked the oil level and oil pan bolt / tightness of oil filter. Still got dirty. wow i still feel raped.

i always go to the quick lube for my van, but it’s a fleet vehicle so i have to. My car, only i’ve ever touched it.

Some more minor wiring today, minimal progress made though. DAMN IT, I WILL make it to the track ONCE before this season is over.

Anyone know where I can get a reasonable priced fire jacket?

I’m usually working on mine as parts come in. Nothing better then a few accomplished hours of progress. On still hoping to fire the twins up before first of year

i made 23 1/8mi passes this year… 3 miles on mustang Woot!!!

prob best bet for jacket is summit or jegs. things never pan out to get shit done on your own car lol. trust me i knwo.

Yeah, I was going to force myself to finish it up Sunday but the father-in-law came by and we sealed my driveway instead. Then I have out of town meetings for work next week and general BS house crap to finish before I go. At this rate, i’ll be 60 before I get to start it again.

some stuff ill do, suspension / reg maint. But if its major(heads cam tune) id rather someone who knows what they are doing fix it esp since its my only car. If i have a spare car id do it all myself someday but not now.

ive got a blown engine that needs yanked out of my car and replaced with the built one i have for it if anyone wants to help…
