I keep telling him I want to make some zoomie headers up and out the hood, but he doesnt want to cut the hood.

Drew any pics of whats under there now to get an idea of what you are working with?

If it were me, i would sell the entire thing, back from the headers and start over. mix and matching stuff sometimes isnt worth the hassle sometimes. Pick a DIA tubing and a design (X, H, balance pipe, etc) and straight pipe it to start. Maybe try out a different X pipe design (merger angles and other factors change how they work one X to the other). Then see how it sounds. It wouldnt take me too long to make another X pipe design to play with how it sounds, and I can use the other ones later on other cars anyways so its not a waste. When you get a nice, even sound we can add mufflers, cats, resonators, or what ever where they physically fit to quiet it down.
