What is your diet like?, abs are made in the Kitchen not the gym.
Unfortunately, drinking 4 nights a week you will probably never get really defined abs. You are probably going out to eat after a night of boozing.

Thanks for that. I’ll be trying it.
Please let me know how your first sessions go. I made a custom MP3 with beeps timed appropriately so I didn’t have to look for a stopwatch or anything… I can try and dig it up if you want.
I could go to UB to sprint on the indoor track, but I just joined Best Fitness because it’s 1/4 mile from my house and open better hours. But no track, so I’ll have to either try to sprint on a treadmill or an exercise bike. Either way they have digital displays so I can just watch them. I’ll try it tonight or in the morning.
Heh. I guess my old soccer and basketball coaches were onto something with their suicide runs…
eat lots of protein and alot less carbs and do lots of cardio that should help
FGGT! whats your normal time to go?
Sorry Bro, don’t neg me bro
For the full effect, you need to be propelling yourself… in car terms, you need to be under load. You can do this on an elliptical or exercise bike, but it will not tax your body the way sprinting will… you’ll simply be moving the machine. Doing it on a treadmill just won’t work at all, as the belt takes time to change speeds… and most only go up to around 11mph. If your max sprint is under 11mph that’s OK, but chances are if you’ve ever participated in any type of athletic competition, it’ll be higher.
Get some headphones, go outside and sprint in the cold. You’ll feel like you are going to die, but it’ll be worth it. For fucks sake, Rocky sprinted up mountains in snowy Russia and you want to bitch out and play around in the gym? ( just kidding. sort of. )
Eh I don’t really have a normal, with class 2 nights a week and whatnot. Last night was like 8:30-10. Monday night was like 7-8. Tonight I’ll probably shoot for earlier because I’ll probably go boozing somewhere. I might even skip it and go in the morning before I start eating myself to death. You?
Agreed. It’ll probably be less embarassing too, since this is sure to get me wheezing like a bitch. (asthma) I can suck it up for 4 minutes. It oughta bring back some lovely memories of coach Shoemaker’s barrel runs. :hang: I’ll PM you my email so you can send me that mp3 if you can find it.
Im normally there ~7-~9
last night was 7:30-8:45 or so, just a quick visit
i dont normally go right after work, there are too many fucking people there. Mondays are always crowded as well. Get ready for the “resolutioner” surge too.
edit: i’ve been considering not being a sally and manning up to go running outside, but its so goddamned cold and wet, and there isnt nearly as much eye candy as there is at BF.
Oh I’ll be part of that surge. :hay:

Spinning class at the BAC.
Cute girls. Fun. Entertaining for working out.
I am not a go and lift weights for hours type person but I go 2-3 times a week and its nice.
i work out my abs from the inside… they get mad strong holding all of the food in
The thyroid condition simply emphasizes the importance of focusing on what exactly you put in to your body. It’s harder for you to lose the weight so you have to focus much more on the small things, such as a few beers every few nights a week. As someone mentioned, abs are made in the kitchen. At your height and weight you are obviously by no means a fatass, and you know how to exercise.
A healthier choice of nutrition should be your answer.
Also, I’d like to say that most of the people that flag “in shape” with being gay are usually the people that are too embarrassed to take their shirt off around anyone, possibly even during sex.
i despise the word, but i’m going to say since Fry said it… “haters.”
“you look better than me, you must be gay!” :banghead:
I absolutely missed the part about the underactive thyroid.
AfXtc, are you on any medication for this? What is it specifically?
Personally I just do HIIT(High Intensity Interval Training) 3 days a week and long runs 2 days a week. I train so hard that I have to eat quite a large amount of food to even maintain bodyweight. This will help the guys that dont want to diet however for this type of training to work the workouts are quite brutal.
