for anyone interested in supplements i get mine from fitnessone.com they are pretty cheap
:picard:
So is there anybody on here who will openly admit to doing steriods?
Do you do high weight and low reps? Like reps of 5-7?
F@#$ me - that was brutal…but now that I’m cooling down…it was cool. 4 minutes really does fly by but I have to admit that I would not have wanted somone to have a radar gun on me for cycle 7 and 8. I felt like I was pumping like a bastard but suspect I wasn’t really going anywhere.
My legs are like jello
My lungs are burning
I’m still sweating like a pig…I did this 20 minutes ago.
I’ll do it again Sat morning.
Great man, I’m glad it kicked your ass. Just make sure you go balls out each time- you don’t want to do yourself an injustice.
If you want another challenge that will help you get into shape, try doing 100 burpees for time. A burpee is like a squat thrust, but when you kick your legs back, you do a pushup, and when you bring them back in to stand, you jump up. A goal for someone under 200lbs would be doing all 100 in under 7 mins.
Here is a video of how to do them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Tn0rXWZ-qU&feature=related
Lastly, remember that neither myself or anyone else in this thread really cares if you can defeat the challenge or what you can squat. Strength and conditioning is an individual thing, if you aren’t doing it for yourself, you have the wrong mindset and will eventually fail.
edit: ALSO, take everything you read in this thread with a grain of salt. I’ve learned not to openly second guess other people’s “contributions” but there are a few things I easily would have already. Do your own research, do your own due dilligence, do right by yourself.
Yeah, I used to do a lot of burpees…never done them for time though so that could be a “fun” one too.
I remember the first time I did burpees I was think “These things are retarded” and then I did some more and my tune changed very quickly. They are BRUTAL. I read an article in the old old old Mens Health mag about how many burpees get done by guys in prison. It’s one of the only total body exercises they can do in their cells so guys would do thousands upon thousands per day. Crazy. These guys were huge too.
cmon, im not going to spend $$$ on an mp3 player just to go jogging, im getting an ipod touch for christmas and def not taking that out.
edit: found my gtf’s pink ipod shuffle and got that to work…
inmates are big on calistenics(spelling?) push ups, pull ups, sit ups they can jump up on the bar and do like 50 in a row,but then again im sure i could do it too if thats all i had to do all day
No i usually go 7-10 with high weight.
 Then that weight isn’t high enough.
Have you guys ever heard of doing a set with the reps decreasing and the weight increasing per set? Each set decrease reps by 2 so it would be 12-10-8 but the weight is increasing by about 10lbs? I used to do this when I was in highschool and I felt like I got some pretty dramatic results in a short time
NO2 + CE2 or a shit load of ephedrine/amphetamines
335 for 7-10 not high enough for you? Can you do it?
Maybe he’s saying that you should increase the weight, because your reps are getting higher? Sounds like a compliment to me… Ohhhh heavy weightlifters, always on the defensive.
anyway, if you have access to to pullup bar with enough space around it, this looks like one hell of a good workout… maybe once you’ve “graduated” from regular burpees and are ready for a new challenge.
maybe wear gloves though, or use an actual bar instead of a piece of lumber so your hands don’t need to end up like his. Even with bars though, i’d still tape or wear gloves… I wear drummer’s gloves for pullups/dips…or anything that involves bars… they breath very nicely and my soft bitch hands don’t get all blistered up. :mamoru:
I will not bring the drama in a thread I actually care about.
Yes Burnt Toast, that is exactly what I meant. “Heavy Weight” is only relative to the individual. Some people think 135 is heavy, some thing 225 is heavy, some think 315 is heavy.
However, heavy weight to an individual is not a weight that they can rep 10x. Heavy weight is a weight that you can’t push or pull more than 3 or 4 times without shaking badly. Heavy weight is an amount where you need a spotter or two. Heavy weight should make you sweat instantly. If you can move a weight 10 times, then it is certainly not heavy enough for you… if your training dictates a need to move “heavy weight.”
I can Squat 335 for 10. I can dead 335 for 10. If you were talking about benching 335, no I cannot. I’m only assuming you mean bench because that’s what most … nevermind, I won’t finish.
Yeah I saw that… fucking intense. There is a video with guys doing continuous sets of cleans then wide grip pullups then cleans… etc for an extended amount of time. Real men are judged by their shoulders and legs, imo.
yes, heavy lifting is based solely on one’s max press, regardless of how much it is. that’s why when the reps get high, you increase weight… if that’s your thing.
just thought i’d throw this workout in here too… this guy pretty much covers it all. damn good mat workout.
annnnd that’s enough watching videos of other men working out for the night.
LOL at the guys trying the HIIT(guerrila) workouts. That shit is brutal. I have tossed lunch into a trash can many times due to these style of workouts.
