From everything I see so far, the three ramp model trailers can fit 3 dirt bikes on there, but not street bikes. I’m looking into it further, but there are plenty of cheaper 2 bike alternatives on Clist.
I forgot exactly, but I think it is around $35/day (with an online coupon) and it came with 500 free miles per rental, which should cover the whole trip. So around $35/day for 3 days + fuel.
I’m not sure if they care per se, but I didn’t ask either.
Third person was indeed more expensive.
I’m sure I can still change it if there is an issue at hand, but I do not forsee any serious issues with that aspect of it. Worst comes to worst I’ll sleep in the truck for all I care.
Don’t think it will be an issue either and sleeping in the truck is not good; Need to get some good rest for the day. I am sure the stamina needed for doing a bike track day is different than driving.
I have reserved a U-haul single bike trailer for my bike to alleviate the possibility of three bikes not fitting in the van so that will hopefully simplify things a little.
I will be bringing front and rear stands as well as basic tools for stuff like adjusting the chain. Why bother with coolant? just throw water in it if your low.
Have you reserved renting a suit? Seems like the number available are rather limited.
Yeah mine is in, size 46. We are much different sizes and every suit man. sizes slightly different so I don’t know how much help trying mine on will be.
Idea of mounting camera: I’ve seen people fab a bar that fastens to the mirror attachment points, I think the trick is to make it strong enough to prevent vibration.
Sorry I don’t really have many tools that worth contributing. I will bring a gas container for spare fuel, water, coolant, zip ties, duct tape, chain lube, wd-40, dot 4 brake fluid and motor oil, bike ramp, tire patch kit.
Don’t think TTD requires wiring the filter, but that is probably a good idea. My filter is inside the bike.
Yours will give me a pretty good idea, or who knows maybe even be perfect, we are similar height.
Extra tools can’t ever hurt and I’d rather regret bringing something I didn’t use then not bringing aething I needed.
I’m going into how people have hard mounted it before and I I can’t come up with any results I’ll have Inline or Harold make me one before the day.
We should bring a ton of good food and plenty fluids.
Feeding and proper hydration should start the day before.
Water, fruits and powerade type drinks are good.
I should definitely look at the tires, brakes, and other parts or the bike seriously as I don’t have many miles on it to know for sure the condition as it is an 05 with few miles on it and original tires.
I forsee myself taking it to a local shop to put some tires I trust on it a day or two before. Not even going into an issue of whether the frame is straight :lol
I remember saving a good link of a beginner step by step bow to including what to bring.
I thought I posted this before but I guess not, if you guys need any specific tools let me know. Being a mechanic by trade I have a rather large assortment to choose from.
