Got a New Subaru Yesterday!

I am all down for the matched grille, but I really don’t feel like dishing out a handful of cash to have the fog light housings matched. Anyone have a guess as to how much that might cost (painting the fog housings?). And does plasti-dip really come off without a ton of effort? Let’s say I didn’t want it any more how hard is it to take off?

Thanks. +1 rep.

Thanks.

Sure did! Holding up great, I can’t believe it. my only thing is I’m not quite sure how to clean the brake dust off lol

It peels right off. It wont really come off in one big peace, but if you bring the grille inside, sit on the couch, throw the tv on and start peeling, you’ll be done before you know it :lol

Yea brake dust is always a b**** to clean off no matter what. Is it going to peel and flake off like when Joe Smo spray paints his grille and its half black and half the color he painted it 3 months later?

Haha it def wont flake, and shouldn’t peel. And even if it does come up in some spots from rocks n stuff, put another light coat to cover it up and it’ll blend right in.

You should look into having all the shiny on the headlights blacked out, if youre going to do the grill. I think it would work out nice.

I am thinking of doing my grill on the TL with that stuff, just been waiting on a long term review, as it were :lol

Haha do it!!

Car is ftw!

Mhmm. +1 rep.

True, but I am on a serious college budget. I am going to have to look up how hard it is to remove the fog light housings. I think it’s pretty easy though.

wow nice car ill take a free car dropped in my lap ready to mess with please.

Very nice pick up.

I’m a huge fan of the previous generation Legacies. If this one is anything like the previous gen, I’m sure it’s a great daily.

Cloth or leather? (looks like cloth?)

keep it stock

Thanks man. It’s cloth. The only thing that is leather is the steering wheel.

You shut it mister!

What color wheels are you thinking of getting as replacement?

Probably something like this. They need to be fairly cheap and not look crazy outrageous. I will run the 17’s in the summer w/ an all season tire and snows on the stock 16’s in the winter.

I would love to get a set of the 17’s that come stock on the 2.5 GT models and the limited models but they are gonna be pricey unless I can get a crazy deal off craigslist or something.

I really like these ones, but I feel like they are gonna cost a pretty penny.

How about some of the older WRX/Legacy wheels?

Although probably too small for you but some Legacy ones
