When do the races start?
haha
too much crunk juice has that side effect I have heard
I am more than part to blame for that, coming late from ROC and shit (sorry Don).
dude I’m a picky mo-fo and this guy’s welds are INCREDIBLE! Better than a lot of that robotic shit you see people brag about on various products… truly quality not that I’m rocking any of his stuff on my car, but it’s very :cjerk: worthy.
I can’t say enough how much I was impressed with Don and Justin and the crew’s work on my car, I’d like to say I’m VERY knowledgeable about building cars, since I turned every bolt (except the last wiring nightmare that was dealt with by Chris White of 944 Enhancement - better him than me lol) on my Porsche, swapped the engine in and out twice (started / ran mint the first try) etc, but these guys did EVERYTHING exactly as I’d have intended / done myself if I had the place / time / tools still. I’m sooooo happy with the Z right now, it’s better than I’d hoped for by far.
The BAD news, which I’d refrained from posting as I didn’t want people getting the wrong idea, is that APS’s stupid design of the oil feed lines for the turbo has Don stuck with a bazillion extra hours to pretty much pull the motor AGAIN for a $0.30 crush washer that is (barely) leaking. We’re talking like, oh one drip ever 1-2 mins, but it’s def. leaking… the thing is, they are a very stand-up shopl and are taking care of it ASAP at no charge, something that I find not just admirable, but a rarity. Some might argue “well it should have been perfect in the first place” but with 28lb of shit in a 2lb engine bay, a VERY minor issue like this is not at all shocking - in fact with a project that took almost 6 months between engine pull, cage work, engine build, turbo kit assembly, engine install (not all of that was Hybrid, in fact, they were the ONLY shop that was on time and on/under budget and never held anything up!!!) it’s no small surprise to have a few kinks to work out.
I probably sound like a stupid fanboy at this point so I’ll STFU now, but yeah, I’m VERY happy that we have a shop like this in Upstate NY FINALLY.
Thanks Dave, you have no idea what it means to have someone actually appreciate all the behind the scenes stuff we do to get the job done.
Awesome job. You guys got yer shit together alright.
LowlyOilBurner looks like he is doing very well! Thanks for everything!
Don, you know I appreciate you, your tiny mohawk, and the team there. <3 That’s why I bring free tools. Make sure you get to use that Lenox torpedo level I dropped off yesterday. It’s PIMP.
I knew Matt had some welding skillz before but after seeing the custom FMIC fab job on the white WRX… woah that monkey boy welder is seriously the fucking man.
Oh, and by the way, your new bead roller is fucking Tits.
/end leg hump

06 wrx… This is one of the few in the country with a front mount because of how much has changed under the hood.
As of right now there is no kit available for the 06 so not just anyone can slap a front mount on it. Another addition to the fmic is the sick battery box which is not some aftermarket box but custom made in house my our own fabrication department.
I like that battery box. Doesnt look like shit and the battery isnt going anywhere. How much would you guys price something like that out for? Is it feasable(sp?) for you guys to make a kit for the WRX FMIC and sell it to the public while no one else is selling on currently?
