my point of hating on your choice of saturns is as follows:
- It’s FWD. FWD sucks real bad. I’d prefer to drive a fucking camaro than any FWD car.
- Someone bitched that there was hardly any aftermarket support… You’re setting a double standard here, because you want something that no one else mods, yet you want companies to make alot of stuff for it? Well, I can tell you from experience that modding a motor with no aftermarket support (in this country at least) sucks real hard. My motor even had a huge precedent that i could follow, but you’re kind of taking a stab in the dark here… if you’re going to be a pioneer, shit WILL break. “not everyone has alot of money for their cars”… EXACTLY why you should not be trying to build a fast car on an obscure platform…
- I was knocking your choice of parts because it seems like you’re planning on staying NA, but the parts that you’re buying seem like they would be at home in a high compression race motor, yet no slugs or rods? How the hell are you planning on making 350HP? It’s possible i missed something here. Also, you listed one current aftermarket brand of plug wire, then said you were planning on changing them out to a different aftermarket brand? Sounds like a real ricery thing to do… maybe there is more reason… maybe you just need them to run that MSD ignition…
- I know you want to be different, but it’s tough to be different on a budget. If you really want to make your saturn go fast, pull it with a turbo honda setup… (or better yet, push it
) If anyone on here understands odd projects, it would probably be me… (someday i will build a rear engined turbo nissan v6 powered geo metro)
This is just my opinion, of course. I admire people who try to do something different, but i also hate to see people, myself DEFINITELY included, throw their money away…
newman (if i may call u that since u dont really know u well) i know what u mean i have been gathering parts for my turbo saturn for over a year for a few reasons.
- mainly having the $$
- since i am spending all this $$ on the car i want good parts so it wont break as much. and good parts cost more.
yes its is hard bring on a budget but hell its fun gettin there.
BTW i dont think he said hes shootin for 350 hp he was just saying about the saturn in the video and yes FWD cars do suck and i hate knowing that i drive one

P.S. It’s so funny that some people have no idea how rude it is to ask others about their financial affairs.
And some people enjoy telling people what they do for a living, because they are proud of what they do, and what they have become. Unless of course your embarrassed with your line of work, then i can see why you wouldn’t want anyone to know. Not that this is the case here, but its just a general statement.

i have been building this car for over a year now, i have managed to find some VERY cheap shit and my car will probably move relatively quickly compared to most honda’s
