Inline Performacne takes the utmost care of customers cars. We value each and every car we work on. When this particular car came back with scratches we were hesitant to believe these were a result of the clutch job. We did not believe that they were present when the car left. When the customer came back in with the complaint we denied the scratches as a result of our work but because we valued this customer and his history with us we told him to stop back tomorrow and we would see what we could do about it…meaning we would take it to the body shop ourselves. The customer soon after leaving returned with a quote, we agreed to fix the paint and made an appointment for this coming Monday. Now I don’t believe handing cash out everytime their is a problem is an answer and as far as the physical violence threatend toward us here at Inline, I don’t believe was necessary. As far as the time line went, the car was dropped of late in the day and we started on it ASAP. We got the Flywheel to Dave Hunts as soon as possible but it took till late that day to get it back…leaving us with his car stuck on our lift…not much we could do about it. We Finished the car as soon as we got the flywheel back and got the customer rolling again. Their was not much we could have done to get his car back sooner unless the customer had dropped it off earlier in the day on Monday. The Plastic clips I have only to say were NOT present on all the plastic belly pans, we did what we could to distribute them out properly, they’re were several missing, no way to sugarcoat it. As far As other customers complaining about work we’ve done, ANY that have ever come back to us have been taken care of, EVEN WHEN IT WAS NOT OUR FAULT. unfortunately crappy clutches get crappy pedal feel and engagement.
well the car didnt have the scratch prior to the clutch put in because i saw it the day before and i was the one to point it out to him. his idea of the money was so he didnt have to miss work and get it done when he can. anger spits things out i suppose maybe money handing out wouldnt be the best solution but somewhere in between would be nice i guess. just my 2 cents. which never matters anyways
pay more attention to the small details, like spelling.
ive also layed under his car numerous times and there were never missing that many clips. those clips break easy when taking them out and the lip under the bumper had all of them in it now theres some missing. i understand its getting fixed now but it wasnt always like that
seriously, those clips are cheap, why make a big deal out of that, scratches yes, i understand, my car has been scratched before, hit by run away shopping carts, parking lot scuffs, it happens, they offered to fix it. settle it there.
there is no big deal. just nonsense
I’ve learned to just park with the crowd, parking away from everyone makes you stand out more and the assholes that are jealous or whatever will make it a point to park right next to you just because you wanted to park away. :angry2
big props to in-line for standing behind the car and stepping up to the plate to have it fixed regardless of who damaged the car.
they are plastic clips. they break, it happens. and do you have picture proof of the before/after, if not cant claim nonsense, just heresay
Thats why i prefer to fix shit myself, id rather learn and have it take twice as long rather than pay someone else to learn…(not singling anyone out)
SECOND
that quote from 91teg, was either from dave or bob. theres absolutly no way that was from sean. meaning it came from a more expierenced person there.
I agree with just about everything said, especially the very last sentence.
Dave typed it…its his business
And you know this how?
Even better if it came from Dave or Bob, as they’re the owners of the company.
In my opinion, Dave and Bob are both top notch people. Very respectful, and I deal with them more than most people here except for Sean and Seamus. They both know their shit when it comes to working on vehicles, especially if you know what you’re talking about so you can understand what they’re saying as well lol.
He did, I talked with him today.
i know i work there
Ah. I just needed confirmation as his [Hooked on 240] word usually doesn’t mean shit to 99% of the people here.
Makes me think even more of Inline that they’re stepping up when it’s possible it’s not their fault. Dave and Bob (I suppose I’ll include Sean and Seamus lol) are good guys, like I said.
no, it just sounded like the words that come outta a owners mouth and not some person who works there. im not bashing anyone, but ive never known sean to talk like that. but still +23893489 for inline, i could care less what bad things come outta a garage. shit happens/nothings perfect. also sean ask dave when my silencer is done. lol
thankyou cossey for that postive attitude, i know what im talking about.
