never had a fuel pump go before…but heres what happened…
beater started bucking real bad like a Major misfire. Then it shut off…started up again, did the same thing…shut off. Started and then shut off…started and then was fine…drove it the rest of the way and it was fine…let it sit…figured it was just shit passing through the gas lines since I was working on it today…started it up a few hours later, ran fine and a few miles down the road it shut off, and this time wouldnt started…a few times earlier today I heard loud buzzing sounds comming from the fuel pump before any of this happened… I just want to re assure myself its the pump before I go buying one.
i got a gauge so ya can watch it stop by and ill show ya ,cant do trap door on it if its a side tank ya can if its a rear mount but it aint bad to do iether way
oh yeah and ya cant do just the pump its awhole sending unit and its about 2-4 hun depending on where ya go ,but if it is id get a airtex through advanced auto way better than napa and cheeper than stock
the blazers came wit a side saddle mnt and a rear frame mnt tank ,the side saddle is on the drivers sde just inside the frame rail and the rear is well in the very rear of the truck
Thats usually a Dodge thing except the pump will work for months after doing that. My friend had a beater Dakota that he needed to tap every now and then to get it running.
